Seems Hot.
hate their MIR, takes too long and only by mail.
$155 in mail-in rebates.
Seems a good deal with 2G RAM, but I will not go to OD for many reasons, one including there cancellation of the chair deal FW deals discussion link
But green for you.
Great price, but the hardest t5o navigate web site I have come across.
If this is an example of their service, I am staying far away.

I would happily keep the MIR rebates if only they would change their coupon restrictions to allow for "technology" products!

I think they stopped honoring coupons on tech products after the RX620 fiasco.
Good deal, except be warned...I got a compaq like this (its amd based though) and it was a major pain in the as to find XP drivers for. I did finally get it running ok, but yeesh what a pain. I mean linux would be about the same amount of effort.

To get rid of rebates, speak to your state law makers.
it is totally worth 399!!!
no tax in MO this weekend.. makes this pretty tempting
How does this compare to the Acer deal this week at CC?

Why don't you compare the specs and tell us?
I would go with the OD deal, the HD is 40GB larger than the CC deal. Have not had a chance to see if the Compaq at OD is using the Intel processor, if so, would be better as I like Intel ove AMD. Looks like the ram memory is the same on both. Anyone had any experience with this particular Compaq model? Also, does anyone know if there are any coupons that could be used on the OD deal, there are not any on the CC Acer laptop.
