Ebates doesn't give credit when a coupon is used

As a dedicated FWer, I almost never buy things without a coupon

alert mods

The paypal thing is not a coupon code. There is no code entered at checkout. Will it still affect the purchase?

Just curious

I don't think it will affect the purchase, its just a form of payment.

You can combine ebates and paypal. Just go through the ebates link, then buy the laptop through paypal. Thus you'll get 35+25=60 back.

Nice laptop with good hardware specs.

My only problem with it is that it's a bit bulky, and I find myself not wanting to carry it around because of that. This kind of defeats my purpose of wanting a laptop in the first place. I'll probably give it to my sis and be looking for a smaller 14.1" laptop.

I would suggest looking at this 14.1" lappy....C2D $549

Question: Acer laptops do not come with the original Windows CD to recover. You need to run Acer's eRecovery Management which will burn a factory default image onto CD/DVD. If I want to replace the OS with XP and want to go back to Vista how do I restore it if the original Acer eRecovery software is wiped by Win XP?

alert mods

The factory reset image is on a separate partition.

Just don't format that partition when you install win XP
