Thanks, this post caused me to cancel. You are right, they don't sell the players at all. So the best outcome would be a cancellation, the worst is you end up with skins you have to return. I'm out.
confirmation email is from Amazon not from them.. check the description in market place sellers.. all of them say its the skin not mp3 1yardaway said: email confirmation of order:
Delivery estimate: August 14, 2008 - August 19, 2008
* 5 of: SanDisk Sansa Fuze 2 GB MP3 Player (Black) Sold by: BargainCell (seller profile)
it clearly says "Mp3 player (Black)". I ordered one.
This is from confirmation email:
Delivery estimate: August 14, 2008 - August 19, 2008 Shipping estimate for these items: August 11, 2008 - August 12, 2008 1 "SanDisk Sansa Fuze 2 GB MP3 Player (Black)" Electronics; $6.99
it looks like Amazon accidentally merged the listings. They merge listings from time to time when there are multiple listings for the same item. They must have made a mistake and thought the skin was the same item as the player.
You guys are retarded for rating this green. Think I am being harsh, yes but crap the company DOESN'T even sell MP3 players. So how can this have ANY chance at all of going through. It's not a deal if the company doesn't even carry the product in the deal. Do you think they will go out and buy 2 gig players just so they can send them to you for $10 each? This "deal" should have been removed as soon as it was posted. It's one thing if you can slip through a price mistake but not on something that doesn't even exist.
I'm staying with it... they made an error, its their problem and they should honor the price mistake for those who ordered. I used my AMEX and will fight it if it comes down to it.
I'd like to think that Amazon would offer some sort of deal to buyers if (when) this deal falls through. My suspicion, however, is that BargainCell will not be aware that buyers think they are buying an mp3 player, so they will just be shipping out a large number of skins come Monday. After that it will be the buyers' responsibility to ship back the wrong items received for a refund. And when it's all settled we're simply out $5+ for the return shipping.
The second picture is a customer image with a caption that says:
"Side view of Sansa Fuze inside a black silicone skin. The on/off switch is difficult to access when a skin is on the Fuze."
The image is still supposed to be showing the player, it is just a lame customer image.
That said, I don't think I'll take a chance on this since it is clearly a mistake by Amazon. If they do end up honoring the price for those of you sticking with it...great find!

Ok, they have been tipped off... now says, it is no longer available from that seller! Thanks mate!
I can't say Amazon will honor the deal, but I am still using the FREE skin-so-soft bug spray and sunscreen they sent me in July. Maybe, if only a few buy the Fuze, Amazon will send them out. I bought four. Good luck to me

So Amazon will send them out because they aren't the seller?

So Amazon will send them out because they aren't the seller? no. Amazon *might* send them out because they have them and it is good business to honor errors because it keeps people coming back to your store.

you really think that they will fulfill 1000 orders and lose some 60,000$ all for a clerical mistake, just for customer relations??... no way..coupons--maybe.
i ordered 2. i hope youre right and im waaaay wrong
I don't know. I figured the skin so soft for free plus free shipping would get canceled, but it came -- four of each. I happened to be looking for a couple of inexpensive mp3 players. Maybe I'll get very nice ones. And who knows how many orders came in before they closed the deal. Only a smattering of takers here. Here's to hoping
