how are the kworld rebates?? get denied often, or go through??

Well, I couldn't get the link to work, just search for Kworld U340.

I got the U330 USB stick but it doesn't have QAM. This is even better price with QAM. I have been using it to watch the Olympics and doing some recording too. The TotalMedia that comes with it is not complete. I downloaded the full version and it works great. I will decide if I want to pay for the full price or not later.

I had Kworld rebate before it worked fine for me. I hope it's the same this time around.

I've had Newegg back the rebates in cases where they show the rebate listed in their website. I know its a risk but if Kworld doesn't pay you, Newegg probably will.

My question is will this work with Cox Cable Connection for all channels. I don't want to use the antenna.

Lastly save about $2 by going through Live.com. Newegg is 5.5 % Cash Back.

This particular USB tuner is actually supposed to be ok, according to the majority of the owner reviews (seems like with tuner cards and motherboards, even the "best" products by the "better" manufacturers still have a lot of defective ones). I bought a K-World NTSC tuner/capture card a year or two back from Buy.com that was supposed to be FAR but never got the rebate and it never worked. However, last weekend, I pulled the card out from its box, downloaded the latest drivers, plugged it back into my machine, put some batteries into the remote, connected an antenna and voila, it works. One thing I'll say about K-World that isn't the case with some of the other Chinese computer companies, even some of the bigger and more respected ones, is that K-World does have an OK website with more-or-less updated drivers. Now I just need to see if the capture function works so that I can download some of the Olympics off my DVR and not have its entire hard drive clogged up with 4-8hr blocks of Olympics programming.

I ordered this Sunday & installed it last night on 2 PCs. This is my 4th KWorld tuner and they've all workled as advertised. I have had to make a quick call for 2 of the rebates & I've gotten all 4 - but they've taken 5 months. If KWorld doesn't come through, Newegg will. This is minimal risk for a decent product. Oh - I installed on 2 XP Home PCs - one was a Sempron 2800 w/1gb - app was a bit slow to start, but once up, it ran fine. I'll be trying GB PVR to see if it is a bit faster.

Ordered one from Newegg on Sunday and got it and installed it yesterday. Works fine. Hopefully the rebate will work.
