good stuff for 1tb... but prices keep falling and falling... I would wait if you do not need the disk space or need to build new system.
this is gonna push the 500gb drives to the $50 mark .

Wow that is by far the lowest price. I have been watching this drive at ZZF and trying to decide if I wanted it at $150. Now this is ever so tempting. My one concern is I have been reading about newer rev versions of this drive having high failure rates.

EDIT I got a feeling this might be a mistake. I added it to my cart and it also added a discount, but the discount read $70 off Select Cameras.
Zenoicus said: Hey, Magnumis, great find! But you forgot to put "1TB" in your title. That's one of my (and I'm sure lots of other people's) topic alert triggers....
I updated the title - Thanks!

In for 4 - thanks OP!
BTW - tried to purchase with my Dell Preferred Account, and system had an error ($0 balance, $5k avail). Couldn't get the extra 4%, but at $116 each it was still worth it!

-DCYa, for some reason my DPA is messed up the same way. Oh well, ordered on normal CC.
I tried the 4% Cash Back link on the Dell listing on the Fat Wallet main page and then searched for the Dell Part number and suddenly the $70 discount disappears.
There's a slight difference in the two urls (2242&sku = 70 off, while 19&sku = nothing.) I'm tempted to try for it, even though I tend to be more of a WD guy. But this seems like a bait switch akin to the NewBiiz 4870 debacle. I wonder if this is targeted marketing at price watch sites like Fat Wallet, et al?
Price is right...got 4. Will probably get canceled =(

At checkout choose payment type as credit card. You should see "Save 4% when you buy online and pay with Dell Preferred Account!." Click on the link to take advantage of the offer. Select your Dell Preferred account and you should get an additional 4% off.
in for 2, finally found a deal to fill up the last 2 bays of my 2950 server thanks op

In for 5. I hope they ship. $559 total for 5 after DPA. Now I need to find the Thecus N5200 cheap. Anyone know a good place? http://www.thecus.com/products_over.php?cid=11&pid=32&PHPSESSID=1d27b4ad2c84a78784afa7914d05e6c6
This is exactly what I've been looking for as a 2nd drive to put in my cancelled $300 Dell XPS machine!
Cancelled Dell hard drives are 100% compatible with cancelled Dell systems. =)
(disclaimer: this has been my lame attempt at being funny this early on a Saturday morning. Thank you, thank you, you've been a wonderful audience )

I am in for one, nothing to lose if they cancel right? Grand total comes to $117.69 after tax to Ohio. This is certainly the best price yet for a 1TB drive, but the price isn't so spectacular that it is guaranteed to be a mistake. That other 1TB thread for the white label drive is $130, and lots of retailers are offering back-to-skool deals starting at this time of year. Sooner or later these drives will reach $110, so why not sooner? I see one of the drive manufacturers now has a 1.5TB model, Hitachi I think. Perhaps Seagate is paving the way for their own bigger drive, or at least Dell is clearing their shelves.

In for one. With the DPA, it was around 110 for Virginia.

Ordered 3 anyway, even though I fully expect it to be canceled. Can't pass up a $40 per drive savings over the next closest price I could find. I surely hope they don't ship the 750 instead that would suck and be a nightmare to fix.
Seagate has the 1.5TB drive. ZZF has them to order at least, if not shipping already.

You gotta call and get the amount refunded. Apparently, the sales department and the cancellation department don't talk. The amount of money it's going to cost them for everyone to call and get a refund is going to be more than just sending us the darned drives. I gave them over a week to credit the amount. I'm tired of waiting. I'm on hold with them right now waiting for the credits to be processed.
I understand the price mistake, I don't understand how they are sitting on our money after the cancellation notice was sent out! Good business to be in I guess. They are saying it will still be 7-10 business days to get the credit! Light up the phones, teach 'em a lesson for canceling and not crediting.
