My date was changed then changed again and today I got the automated phone call. I buy lots of Dells and have for many years. Called the toll free number they mentioned in the phone call and got someone who I told wasn't giving me the answer I wanted. She put me into Customer Care (India from what I could tell) and I was assured my order was not cancelled that that it would ship on the 26th and to compensate me for my problems, he was going to get it shipped overnight (he says a $69 dollar value). So, I told him to put that in an email which he did. Now, I still have no faith in this at all but now that I have something else in writing, I do feel I have somewhat of a bargaining chip. I would gladly share the email here but and will if, in fact, I receive the HD but I'm not jinxing my chances by posting it here and fracking it up. Paul

No phone call, no cancellation email, but my order has been "changed" and there's still no record of it in Dell's system. Not looking good. I vow to NEVER order another Dell price mistake. This week, anyway. |

I bitched enough to my 'point of contact' and for $120 with tax, mine is shipping on the 28th via overnight (for free for my 'troubles). I am a regular Dell buyer so maybe that has something to do with it. I won't rest until I get the drive and verify that it's not a used drive. That's not what I'm paying for. |

Well, just to make things worse, Dell canceled my orders, and then charged my credit card anyway! Thanks Dell! |

Thanks Dell! i just checked my card balance and it appears that i've been charged as well. the amounts haven't posted but my available credit is where it should be if they charged me. (holds don't show as affecting my available credit online usually). i'm calling Dell now... and they just hung up with me!! %&@!$%* |

I also got charged. But this is the kicker. They sent me a tracking invoice. So it leads me to believe. I will be getting the drives. When I had received the cancellation email. i just sent back a blank message and few days later the status changed. Update. Drives arrived today. OEM packaging made in Thailand . Card charged appropriate amount. Thanks OP! |

You gotta call and get the amount refunded. Apparently, the sales department and the cancellation department don't talk. The amount of money it's going to cost them for everyone to call and get a refund is going to be more than just sending us the darned drives. I gave them over a week to credit the amount. I'm tired of waiting. I'm on hold with them right now waiting for the credits to be processed. I understand the price mistake, I don't understand how they are sitting on our money after the cancellation notice was sent out! Good business to be in I guess. They are saying it will still be 7-10 business days to get the credit! Light up the phones, teach 'em a lesson for canceling and not crediting. |
