Thanks. Also does anyone know what is Lenovo CPP. OP mentioned it in original post that "Lenovo CPP is selling for $386", that makes things even better
386-15% Lenovo coupon is:
386-58

328 + tax for me approx $17 = 345

-10% MS Cash Back

so 345 - 45= $300 FINAL. <----- Does that make sense. But I don't know what is Lenovo CPP

I don't think you can apply Live on CPP order, but I could be wrong..

How come 10% of $350 is $45???? It's $34.5 if you actually calculate it.

I'm just stating an opinion - not a fact. This unit will be significantly limited in terms of what software and apps you can run compared to a portable notebook like a Z series, while suffering inferior battery life - now that's a fact.

Yeah, please show me the link of $100 more notebook you're talking about.

Im in for one also! Please post the link to this laptop. Im also looking for horn wax for my unicorn if you know where I can get some of that too.

Saw a review on Toms Hardware that matched up the Atom against AMD's new low power chip and AMD beat the Atom. Less power consumed, cheaper, better performing. Actually the Atom chip its self used less power but with the chipset as a system used more power. The chip set used with the Atom is antiquated. The AMD chipset has many more features and ports. Atom components are smaller and better suited to these micro laptops though.

Using Lenovo/cpp i could bring it down to $359.xx where i cannot use MS 10% Cash Back while with regular retail online shopping it comes down to 365.xx so get another 10% off from ms will make it in the range of $330s, I think. Does anyone have a better option or suggestion(s)

I have no choice but to report you. It's not how I wanted things to be.

You of all people should know that the quartering of unicorns is a Class II Felony. Watch the cornhole.

Why not go thru eBay (Mwave.com) and get a Asus 1000H. I think the MS CashBack is at 15% now, and is 25% off pretty often

Would appreciate your thoughts and experience and then pull the trigger.

Thanks

one article i read says the 3 cell is up to 3 hours while the 6 cell will be up to 6 hours...so in real life numbers i'd imagine the 3 cell is just over 2 hours and the 6 might last up to 5? just my guess...

If you leave your laptop plugged into the wall all day, you can shorten the battery life over time. My 3 year old Dell 700m with the 9 cell battery is still running strong because I only plug in the battery only when it needs charging and unplugging it when it is done.

Good Point Amheck, but I forgot to put < $400 as #3.

That 1000H is nice though.

I ended up fairly close to $400. I had the 10% eBay coupon stacked with the 25% live.com CashBack. So yeah, I'm waiting 60 days for the 25%, but all in all, I'm pretty happy with the purchase. The 1000H is pretty nicely configured, and someone on eeeuser.com got a 9 cell battery from Taiwan or HK or something. But I would say, the 1000H lacks the sexiness of the Wind and/or Lenovo.

I don't think you can use Live CashBack with CPP, just the regular Lenovo site.. Please strain from posting the same thing more than once.. Not all people here are forgiving as I am

Just purchased my first Lenovo. I have an (unfortunately) highly configured Dell 15" Laptop for use w/ more demanding programs. This product, at this price (~$398 AC+tax), for intended uses, is not too bad of a deal. Green for you, friend!

Using the Lenovo CPP website and applying the USEIDEAPAD5 coupon it comes to $359.07.
Lenovo.com/cpp
passcode: 704919

Honestly I just used the regular Lenovo site to hopefully get the Live CashBack.. Yes CPP site is a bit cheaper but by about $5 only so I just took the risk and ordered from the regular site.

I talked with sales representative in Lenovo.
He said maximum ram capacity of IdeaPad S10 is 4G.
More importantly, it does not void their warranty even if I upgrade ram by myself at home.
