In New Jersey, offer valid only for citizens 60 years or older. Not valid in New York State. Not valid on prescriptions for controlled substances where prohibited by law.
I work at a Rite Aid Pharmacy. The coupons do say 1 coupon per customer every 6 months, but our pharmacy district manager says to give them out no matter what. It is not tracked at all in the computer unless we put a patient note in to the system, but that still won't put a stop on the coupons, it is simply a note. Starting August 24th, there will be a $120 transfer offer. I'm not sure about details, but I will post when I know!

Will Rite Aid price match to WalMart or others? CVS does(transferred 2 scripts there for 2 $25 cards- expired now).

My CVS takes any competitor coupon for any script- exisiting.. new or refill. Bring in the coupon, you get a GC in that amount no questions asked. I get a 30 dollar GC every month with the Rite Aid script transer coupon. YMMV.. but most will take it with a bit of pressure.. and Rite Aid is feeling the heat.

Thanks for the post. Longs Drugs and CVS both accept competitor coupons from my experience.

Here in Naples, FL, where there are no Rite Aids in the entire state BTW, any of the local CVS Pharmacies will take this Rite Aid coupon for the full $30 amount. I use them all the time. K-mart will take it too (used one yesterday) but will only give a GC for the price of the actual amount of the prescription that you're transferring, not $30, unless of course your prescription transfer actually does cost $30 or more. So far, I haven't found any other pharmacies that will take them. Walgreens doesn't honor competitors coupons and the Publix (grocery chain) pharmacies won't either.

Trust me on this. Also these $30 transfer coupons are always available at the pharmacy in the seasonal specialty pamphlets we offer. This period it is dental care, last time it was skin care. There are always coupons in the smaller pamphlets, the ones that unfold, not the book ones. This period there are dental related coupons such as $1.00 Listerine or toothpaste as well as the transfer coupon. If somebody does not have a coupon we always just grab one from the pamphlet. Also occasionally in the Rite Aid sale ad there will be a coupon for a $20 gift card for a prescription, new or transferred so keep your eyes open!
And yes, Rite Aid will price match. We are supposed to match anyone within 3 miles in an urban area, 5 miles within a suburban area, and 15 miles within a rural area.

i posted the Vons current coupon, but it moved to a different section. Vons has a $30 coupon for new or transfers from tuesdays ad, still available for pick up in the stores, expires in November.

O.K. This is how this should work. I have a prescription that is $4.00 at WalMart. I took it to Target and paid $6.00 with a coupon to get a $10.00 gift card. Net $8.00. This month, I took the prescription to RiteAid with a coupon for a $30.00 gift card. Paid $12.00, net $22.00. Next month I am off to CVS. My math is right. I would have paid $4.00 at WalMart. By buying at Target I paid $2.00 more, so I net $8.00. Same for RiteAid. I paid $8.00 more with a $30.00 gift card, so I net $22.00. I was going to spend the $4.00 no matter what. Anything beyond that is gravey.

You must be kidding, I went there and the guy told me $30 GC is one per patient per life time, he call the store manager and he told me this will be the last time they will do it for me. I am going to go to another RiteAid in the future and try it again.

Did you go into Rite Aid And Ask For The (Transfer your prescriptions and get up to $ 120.00 back) COUPON book? On the front page there is a Pharmacists in a white coat. If your Rite Aid Will Not Give You One Call Rite Aid 1-800-Riteaid Have Rite Aid Send You One. Also when you call Rite Aid tell thim Who Told You Gift Cards Are one per patient per life time. You May Get More Than A Gift Card.

Up until now I didn't realize it was actually a B&M deal. But I finally got it Thanks a lot! I will stop by Rite-Aid tomorrow to get the book. I'm wondering if they would let me use these coupons to fill a new prescription. If not I can always do the first fill at Walgreens and then transfer to Rite Aid but that seems stupid to me.
It is for Transfer prescriptions only not for new prescriptions . And you cant Transfer from Rite Aid To Rite Aid.

You can go to CVS and request matching coupons to any pharmacy. Always ask to price match to any local pharmacy before transfer and get the coupon. CVS don't keep track of coupons given. Only employee of the store does if they recognize you but that should not be the problems because coupons don't limit how many per household per clients. Always ask for pharmacist or pharmacy manager at CVS when you have questions about coupons. If they denied, ask for their name and call their corporate to complain. CVS's upper management does not want to hear complain about coupons. Remember to be nice and pleasant when to talk to them. you can request a coupon when you present a new prescription. Remember one coupon per prescription upto four at one time. If you have a refill, ask their pharmacist kindly before you request a refill to see if they can give you coupons, reasoning that you can transfer it out then transfer it back to their pharmacy to get the coupon and save their time. Remember CVS people may even fill prescriptions that you could have bought over the counter to increase rx count. Make sure that you have the coupon for that and compare the price to avoid being overcharged. You can wait for different people working at different shift to pickup the prescriptions and request the coupons if you think they may make things difficult. You can tell the associates that you transfer prescriptions and pickup for your friends, neighbors or relatives ... if they have questions.

As mentioned previously, you can bring upto coupons especially from RITEAID with your upto four new/refill prescriptions and ask the CVS people to honor the coupon even if you are their regular customer. You don't have to beat about the bush. Ask to talk to the pharmacy manager and request the gift cards given for the prescriptions filled at their pharmacy and abided by law to get the gift cards. Remember you can even request gift card given when you do refill at CVS. Just bring the competitive coupons with you when picking up. If they don't honor, ask for the name of the pharmacist ask for the name/phone number of their district manager especially at CVS. If you are loyal to your pharmacy and do not want to hurt your pharmacist, you can request your doctor to call or write presciptions just for those coupons and fill the rest of the prescription at your regular pharmacy.

But to get around this, you can transfer the RX to a different pharmacy and let them process it. Then call and make some excuse that you want them to back it out of their system. Once they have done that, go to a different Rite Aid and ask them to transfer it there.

First off, these coupons are for a refill, not A NEW rx. If a CVS store is nice enough to help you out, great, if not, accept it. To start calling and complaining to a district manager over a very YMMV situation to start with is wrong in my book. Those calls should be reserved for true, legitimate complaints/issues, not because you couldn't wiggle a gift card out of the pharmacy. As for as getting your doctor involved, hate to say it, but that's just not cool. Physicians are busy people, asking them to write RX's a certain way to just to hustle a gift card for you is not at all cool. If you have insurance, you should be getting them written based around your coverage, not around what coupon you have in your hand IMO.

Your right? You have to be joking, last time I checked the Bill of Rights, the founding fathers did not have a clause that states "all citizens are entitled to gift card for prescriptions". No, the district manager doesn't need to know about your "rights" in a situation like this. Totally disagree, that's not what they are there for.... to assist you in a grey area scheme.
And they sure can deny you a gift card if you are intentionally abusing the intent of a transferred RX. That really means you've already filled the first prescription and you are getting the transfer bonus on the refill. If they are nice enough to do it, consider yourself fortunate, don't turn into a whiner calling district managers who thinks they are entitled to everything simply because you got a prescription to fill. I think a good district supervisor would back up his staff on denying you and your "rights".

Rite Aid price matches to everyone, including Wal-Mart. You can definitely get your rx for $4 instead of 12, just ask them to do the price match. it's company policy to do so.

Your right is to have what they offer in written paper. They offer coupons and they must live up to their promises on the coupons... very simple if you could read. I understand where you come from and agree with you for accepting that associates are all workers and we should be nice with each other. Again no one force them to offer coupons, however they cannot offer and denied their offers at the same time. Again I did not have prescriptions to fill or transfer and I do not benefit from any of the info. given. My intention is to contribute and nothing else. Appreciate your input. ()
I had no trouble taking this coupon to Kroger's with a NEW prescription and getting the $30 gift card (in the form of $30 loaded onto the Kroger card). They didn't even blink. I suppose it's YMMV, well worth the attempt by those who have a new prescription and spend more often at their grocery than at their drug store.
