I carry this thing around with me everywhere during my day. I'd much rather carry this than a 12" notebook because the footprint is much smaller, and it's half a pound lighter than the X61. Both these factors make it much easier to carry it in your hand like you would a small organizer.

And I don't throw mine around either. It has a 120 GB hard drive.

Yes but the drive connector is a standard 1.8" connector, you may need to adapt the connector to add a 2.5 inch drive other than what came in the unit, if the the included adapter isn't removable.
