OfficeMax has the Brother HL-2140 for $59.99 in the 8/24 weekly flyer.

They are offering a $30 gas card to MaxPerks members (see page 6). Note that gas card is only valid at one specific retailer in your area (I've seen ads with ARCO and BP, there may be other retailers). ** Limit 1 gas card per member.

Less $20 Brother MIR

Final price = $10

Note that there are other Brother printers listed in the ad, but this and the MFC-240C seem to be the hot deals.

Example: $110 - $30 gas card = $80 for HL-2170W (Wireless network enabled B&W laser)

Needs a Maxperks (loyalty) account. However that site is down and you can't sign up today.
So no deal for people not having maxperks account.

Maxperks site back up.

Does anyone know if OM purchases usually work for manufacturer rebates? Esp since OM now usually does not support the rebates?

This is based on location. I pulled up Dallas, TX flyer and it's showing $30 Maxperks reward and not gas card whereas CA flyers shows $30 gas card.

Question arises --- will ARCO gas card work at BP stations? BP owns ARCO. There are no ARCO stations in my locale -- SE Michigan -- but we do have plenty of BP stations.

An extra 20% back for using Paypal..?

So this deal also works online? Too bad I don't have an OM BM within 30 miles.

Anyone know how much toner goes for? Can it be refilled? Tempted to jump on this.

In MA they are offering $30 credit to max perks account instead of a gas card.

This is actually a nice printer for its price. There are 2 toners available for this printer: BrotherTN-330 which prints up to 1,500 pages and about $45 at Staplez; and BrotherTN-360 which can print up to 2,600 pages and about $65 at Staplez. Not sure if it can be refilled.

I think instead of me getting a new toner, I might just buy another HL-2140 at this price.

If you grab this printer, do you get a FULL thing of toner, or a "starter" thingee??

Starter, but it can be refilled if you buy an add-on reset gear.

Less than $10 for a bottle of toner and all you do is pop/pry the cap off and fill it.
