They are offering a $30 gas card to MaxPerks members (see pages 1 & 6). Note that gas card is only valid at one specific retailer in your area (I've seen ads with ARCO and BP, there may be other retailers). ** Limit 1 gas card per member.
Final price = $20
Note that there are other Brother printers listed in the ad, but this and the HL-2140 seem to be the hot deals.
Example: $80 - $30 gas card = $50 for MFC-465CN (Network enabled color AIO)

Generic ink is $2.35 each or $8.95 for a full set at Abacus Private. Shipping is an additional $4.99 per order.

Is the gas card instant in-store or mail-in-rebate?

It sounds like they will include the card with your MaxPerks statement mailing.

do they take compiteter coupons? Might pickup one if they do. have a OD 20 of 75 lying around.

I'm curious, how would you go about trying to do what this poster mentioned... get the gas card and paypal CashBack?

OD coupons usually exclude technology so YMMV if OM reads the coupon.

How did you pay with paypal than? And if you bought one online how do you get the giftcard as this promo AFAIK is instore only

I bought it online, the deal is advertised on OfficeMax home page and it says "shop now". It takes you to this page which doesn't appear to limit this to B&M.

There's no FW CashBack for OM but Ebates is offering 6% for OM which is another $4.80. If anyone doesn't use ebates and needs a referral link, PM me. I think tell a friend is $5 each to both parties(you and me).
Best Buy rewardzone has a new CashBack shopping mall. Officemax is one of the store on there .
currently there is a promotion that your first purchase over $50 will give you an additional 250 points ($5) so with the 60 points (1$ at OM = 1 point) you are looking at 310 points (just over $6, so more than 10% CashBack)
hope this helps!

was it a lower price in store? which state, if you don't mind?

Ordered the MFC-240C printer ($49.99) + letter opener (Item # 20792527, $0.89) to get free shipping.
$50.88 order subtotal + $4.58 tax - $13.87 paypal promotion - $30 gas card - $5.55 Live CashBack = $6.04
The above calculation is a little misleading since I don't consider the $30 gas card to be equivalent to cash, but it's a good deal nonetheless.
I did the same. Cept I got some pencil cap erasers. The above way seems to be teh cheapest and easiest (no going to the store)

any suggestions? I bought it at local store. used a $5 off coupon, but the cashier forgot to ring up the coupon at the first time. when the receipt was printed out, she realized she forgot the coupon. Then she called manager, the manager did a exchange on my purchase, he returned printer , then ring up again the printer and adjust the price to $44.99 which gives me $5.00 back on my credit card. I asked the manager if I qualify maxperks promotion, he said yes. he said even though he didn't use the maxperks card on the exchange, because the exchange is attached to the original receipt (the first receipt has my maxperk number), so I will be eligible for the $30 gas card. when I got home, I checked the rules of promotion, it says "no adjustments will be made after time of purchase." so I want to make sure if I'm qualified for the gas card or not.
Does anyone know if the previous Paypal/Officemax 20% back with $25 max promotion is considered a separate promotion from the more recent 25% back with $50 max?
