Nice deal, especially with the FS. Just a reminder that the $20 upgrade rebate has been around for a while, it was part of the FAR deal as far back as last Black Friday (and seems to expire on Sunday).

Based on what I have read starting with Nero 7 they added a ton of bloat to the product without any major upgrade in functionality. I would suggest that unless you are buring to Blu Ray then just stick with what you have now.

I am not sure if an OEM version is qualified -- the $20 rebate mentioned must be full retail version for the old software.
I think his is willing to pay the $20 (realizing his OEM copy doesn't qualify) and just wants to know if it is worth $20 to upgrade.
My $.02 - If you don't have a the full version of Nero Ultra, then $20 ($70-$50) is a very cheap price for the full version of Nero Ultra 8.
Personally, I prefer to stick with Nero Ultra 7...and so do many long-time Nero users, because Nero Ultra 8 was quite a change...interface-wise. Ahead patched Ultra 7 to run on Vista, which was the only reason I would have considered switching.
It seems Ultra 8 really didn't bring much more to the table for a lot of folks. In fact, some people said it was a step backwards. But that was based on early reviews. I haven't used 8, so it may have improved through the regular updates that Ahead provides. I know 7 has improved considerably over it's life.
My guess is Nero Ultra 9 is just around the corner..which is why this great rebate appears now.

Nero OEM, any version, has never qualified for the upgrade rebate in the past.
It does qualify you for a small discount off the full retail price, when purchased directly from Ahead.

But obviously given that the upgrade rebate is about to expire (unless it has been extended and the Frys form does not reflect it), it is likely that a new version is coming soon.
I am currently using Vista 64 bit Media Center. I would like to have software that provides in all inclusive friendly interface to play music , burned videos, pictures etc... at my fingertips. Something that I can use to burn, rip and play, that will recognize all of the formats. is this what I need. Thanks! Pete
I just looking for something cheap I can use to burn audio books onto my MP3. Everything I've tried has played the books back in some random order... not in order like a book should be. Any suggestions appreciated

No photocopies of a competing product's CD anymore. I don't think Nero competitive rebate has ever accepted "photocopies of a competing product's CD". Check out forms below.
