clandren said:SD30G2 is out of stock. tried adding it to the cart and i got oos message This has got to be the HOTTEST barebone/motherboard.power supply deal! Only $45 AR ($50). Just picked 2 up at local Fry's. They didn't have too many in stock. Better deal than this deal from 2 weeks ago for AMD CPU which was $100 after $100 rebate and tax on $200. It was AWESOME barebone with mother board and cinch to install. |

It says there are two SATA connectors on the mobo, but I can't even tell how you'd install drives in this thing. How many can it hold internally? |

I have one of these and just ordered my second. They are great little boxes. I'm running one as a squeezecenter server. they are VERY LOUD! Just be warned. I think it's the PSU fan, but the thing howls. I'll be running FREENAS on this one. ScAndal |

What CPU can be a good choice for this one? I am thinking that Conroe 430 or E1200. Do both work? and which one is better costise? 430 is $39.99 E1200 is $49.99. $10 difference. Thank you in advance for your advice. |

good for NAS or media box. Yep got another 1 for free delivery. Theses were selling quickly at local Fry's. Got there before noon and only 4 left. So get in before they sell out as it was sold out on-line earlier today and I had to drive to Fry's. |

Newegg said: Pros: Plugged a Celeron e1200 (1.6ghz) in, set fsb to 250 and the box is rock solid at 2ghz. This will set your ram to 800mhz, so make sure you have ddr2 6400. Also threw in a cheap usb wireless n adapter and a 40gb hdd I had lying around. Works great for an htpc, pretty snappy with Vista Ultimate for watching videos. Thats encouraging. Looks like someone was able to overclock on it and use DDR-800 memory. Awesome little box, green. |

It's cheap, but you may want to think twice before you jump. Only one PCI slot, and it's not PCI-E. If you need better graphic, your best option is $120 X1300 PCI card, which still can't play any games. Add CPU and external drive - Apex MI-100 case here ($55)+Intel BOXD945GCLF Atom mini-itx mobo with CPU on it(about $60) may be a better option: it's smaller, takes much less power and no rebates... |

FYI: You can add a slim cd drive in this. "...any of you who like to mod your computers will be pleased to know that there’s a hidden slim drive bay in this thing." Link to full article |

only thing i don't understand - what's a 'chuttle'? Seems like a good deal for someone who just wants a basic pc for stuff like word processing and surfing. Lack of pci-e slot limits media usage |

As many have properly stated, this is NOT for gaming, or other applications where more video horsepower is required. I believe it contains a 95W power supply, which will quickly max out with a modern video card. |

Probably not good for HTPC for home theater either. One thing that would be nice is SPDIF audio output. |

"quickly max out" you must be a really nice/polite guy.....its like telling a fat chick "you look healthy" |
