This is the smoker I have: Smoker I know its slightly different, but Id rather have gas. Mine has indirect heat, water for moisture, and a chip box for smoke, with easy cleanup.
This Orion item doesn't appear to have a blower fan for Convection, Which makes it not much different from my smoker.

PeteThe orion is a strange device. I have the same smoker as you- I also have a ducane and a kamado... and a turkey fryer! But I'm not sure where the orion fits in, it doesn't seem any different than a normal oven except you can put wood chips in it.
Anyhoo thumbs up to the gas smoker, it's fantastic. I had a weber bullet before it and actually prefer the gas smoker over it, super easy to set a temp and walk away.
Do you or anyone else ever use Maple chips. I love maple for my pork ribs etc.... I have them shipped to me from up north, as they are hard to find at the Lowes etc... being in florida. Kamado is that Oriental egg cooker, is it not. Talk about interesting cookers.
