Here is an easier method to add TTS to the Mio C320 (no need to delete or move any maps):

1. Download this file
2. Delete the "VOICE" folder from the F:\MioMap\MioMap directory (this is to free up some extra space)
3. Unrar the file you downloaded in step 1 to the F:\MioMap\MioMap directory
4. Thats it.  All done :)

I finally found a hard top case for my c320, that doesn't cave in on the touch.
I bought from WalMart for $6.96

You should if you unlock it, since both TomTom and Mio use TeleAtlas for their GPS software.

While the maps, routing and points-of-interest are probably similar, TomTom probably has a custom interface for the navigation software that is a lot better than Mio.

TomTom owns TeleAtlas BTW. I'm guessing they give themselves some sort of competitive advantage over other manufacturers.

great deal, the 320 is gonna be on sale too. but IMO the link to eBay coupon sellers is why I gave it red. this seems like a self promoted post by coupon sellers with that link. let people be aware of coupon, but let them track own source.

Trust me, I don't make any money reselling coupons, nor does anyone I know. It's not self-promotion; I buy them just like the rest of you.

the c320 is 120 on sunday and would be a few dollars more for a larger screen. you can hack the c320 to have TTS

I looked and haven't found if anyone has successfully used this particular hack on the 320. I would much rather have the larger screen, but besides the TTS (which you can get on the 320 with a hack), are there any other advantages to the 230 vs. the 320?

Typically it opens up access to the operating system, which in this case is Windows CE 5.0; that means you can run a plethora of applications and games written for that OS. Unlocking also allows you to add new navigation software and updated maps easily.

The C320 is bigger physically, so it has a larger battery as well. Not very important if you're using it as a car GPS (since it stays plugged in), but if you want to use the unit as a media player you might appreciate the bigger battery. Both have the same GPS receiver.

It's pro-rated I believe, so they'll remove $13.20 of your discount if you return $50 out of $150.
