Thx OP! Was about to buy some seed today anyway. There was zero indication of the promotion at the product display and I looked thoroughly (Gig Harbor, WA store).
"Your claim has been received. Thank you for choosing The Home Depot." This was followed up by a 6-8 week processing email from HD. Green.
