Haven't tried this myself yet, but a friend of mine (who is a WOW fanatic) just did and we can't wait to see how this is! I researched and this seems to be the best deal for a 3D Monitor WITH accessories.

Instead of playing games on a normal two dimmensional FLAT screen, this allows you play in 3D so you are actually in the action! Supports soooo many games too! Pictures and details are HERE

Wait, from looking at the website it appears that the characters from the game actually come out of the screen and into your living room. This could be very dangerous so I would advise anyone with small children to pass on this deal.

i think that's the idea of it being 3D

I haven't used this monitor, but iZ3D is a good company that's making a lot of improvements to their drivers, and they have the best solution for stereo 3D gaming these days. But having said that, this price doesn't seem that great as I've seen these monitors new on eBay for less, and also iZ3D is going to be coming out with a larger, and probably better screen in the next 6 months or so I think.

BTW if you're interested in stereoscopic 3D games and movies, check out http://www.mtbs3d.com

i accidentally posted a reply twice and am not sure how to delete them... sorry.

couple things guys... on the actual iZ3D site they sell for $599. As for eDimensional, $99 is JUST for the glasses... This is a 22" Monitor that includes THREE pairs of 3D glasses (2 regular and 1 clip on) plus other additional items - as shown on this site. Before my friend purchased this product, we searched eBay and other sites asl well - eBay is at $499 WITH a $50 shipping charge (and i am pretty sure it is for only qty 1). Newegg is at $599 also.

I think this is a great deal. There is also no limit on qty. Someone show me something better?

Still trying to figure this out....

ACER 22" widescreen LCD monitor runs about 200
eDimensional 3D glasses - 100
Second pair of eDimensional 3d glasses - 50
Third pair of eDimensional 3d glasses - 50

Total: About 400

How is that better than 525?

I still don't understand why you are comparing edimmension products to Stereographic?! Stereographic is top of the line...

If you want to use the brands that make your eyes hurt - go for it! Been there already.

I hightly doubt I am getting ripped off... Newegg, PC Mall, eBay (with shipping), Amazon.com ... ALL sell this product for $599.00.

I was simply stating a bargain where I see suitable for a product I imagine is well worth it. I'll have to let you know once it arrives if I agree with your assumptions.

I'm not sure that's fair. I personally post a lot of Fry's deals, and a casual observer might think I worked for them, but I don't. I'm not saying it's not a possibility that he's a spammer, but he might just be a fan of that site...

eDimensional and iZ3D are two different kinds of technology. eDimensional are shutter glasses which require a display to flicker between two images with the glasses blocking the vision of one eye then the other in unison with the monitor. With iZ3D, the monitor is special, in that it is displaying two images at once, and the passive polarized glasses restrict which image reaches each eye. The recent 3D movies in theaters use polarized glasses.

Now, there are a couple of potential problems with shutter glasses. One is that they need a monitor with a high refresh rate, which was ok with CRTs which often had high maximum refresh rates, however most LCDs run at 60hz. Even with LCDs that run higher than 60hz, there can still be problems syncing with shutter glasses, I think because of the lag that LCDs have compared to CRTs. A lot of people have found shutter glasses to be unusable with their LCD monitors, other people have gotten them to work though, sometimes by using interlaced mode with which you'll lose half the vertical resolution.

The other thing with eDimensional is that their stereo drivers aren't very good and won't run many modern games. You can use Nvidia's stereo drivers instead, but those are weird too, as they only work on Nvidia cards, and also only on 7000 series and prior cards under XP. Nvidia's Vista stereo drivers support newer cards, but do not currently support shutter glasses. I think there are some hacks to get newer Nvidia cards working with XP.

iZ3D is putting more effort into their drivers than anyone else at this time, and are currently working to make the drivers compatible with hardware other than their monitor, such as shutter glasses and head mounted displays. From what I've read though, the newest iZ3D drivers are not yet working correctly with shutter glasses. They'll charge(I think $50) to license the drivers for use with non-iZ3D hardware solutions.

If anyone wishes to correct me on anything, they're welcome, as I don't use shutter glasses or the iZ3D monitor. I do use Nvidia's drivers for my eMagin Z800 head mounted display, and it's frustrating to say the least. I'm very hopeful about the future of iZ3D's drivers, as they seem to be making more progress than Nvidia ever did. Although, they'll likely never support the Z800.

For anyone interested in stereo 3D gaming, it's smart to really read up on things, as game compatibility is sometimes iffy.
