I think the Nuvi 760 is currently selling for around $450, at Best Buy. I mean, it's often on sale there, but I don't believe it's on sale this week. So, given a 110% price match guarantee, that'd work out to $299.99 - $15 (10% of the difference in prices), or $284.99. Extremely good price for a 760. I can tell you that after having purchased this model back in the spring of this year (prior to that I had a Garmin Nuvi 360), I don't regret buying it. I mean, it's not perfect (nothing and no one is perfect), but I've found it to be well worth what it cost. (I was happy with the Nuvi 360, but given my needs, it was worth upgrading to a GPS capable of handling routes.) A nice thing about the Garmin Nuvi line is that there are, like, a couple of dozen different models to choose from, most of them differing from each other by only one or two features, so it's often possible to find a Nuvi that offers just what you want, not too much more and not very much less. Link to Garmin Nuvi Comparison Chart. I plan on holding onto my 760 until the Nuvi 880 (or some future Nuvi model with features comparable to the 880) sells for about half what it does today. Which, given the way prices have tumbled on these things, could be another year or so. |
