This is the lowest that Price Grabber shows it right now. Don't forget CashBack. Add whatever coupons you can find to make this a better deal ($15 off, 8-10% off AAA, etc.)

This might be a YMMV, as the Circuit City site was having issues with this GPS and its pricing for the past few days.

EDIT on 9/17: Price is now 314.99 Still one of the best prices, if only my a slim margin.

Neither the $15 or 8% AAA coupon works.

Good price. Just an FYI, places are blowing out leftover inventory to make room for the replacement 705 series. The 755T, 765T, and the 785T all due out in October. The big differences will be lane assist to tell you what lane to be in, a 3D buildings option, and lifetime traffic updates for the 765 and 785. Whether that's worth a $599 list price for the newer 765 is up to you.

This is one of the crapiest GPS i ever had. Good bluetooth and FM stuff.. but a very bad GPS. Freezes very offetn and not good in showing directions.

I have this GPS and it doesn't freeze and does a great job showing directions. I think you got a bad one, kukuda.

I think the Nuvi 760 is currently selling for around $450, at Best Buy. I mean, it's often on sale there, but I don't believe it's on sale this week.

So, given a 110% price match guarantee, that'd work out to $299.99 - $15 (10% of the difference in prices), or $284.99.

Extremely good price for a 760. I can tell you that after having purchased this model back in the spring of this year (prior to that I had a Garmin Nuvi 360), I don't regret buying it. I mean, it's not perfect (nothing and no one is perfect), but I've found it to be well worth what it cost. (I was happy with the Nuvi 360, but given my needs, it was worth upgrading to a GPS capable of handling routes.)

A nice thing about the Garmin Nuvi line is that there are, like, a couple of dozen different models to choose from, most of them differing from each other by only one or two features, so it's often possible to find a Nuvi that offers just what you want, not too much more and not very much less. Link to Garmin Nuvi Comparison Chart.

I plan on holding onto my 760 until the Nuvi 880 (or some future Nuvi model with features comparable to the 880) sells for about half what it does today. Which, given the way prices have tumbled on these things, could be another year or so.

Mine also freezes quite often and the directions given leave much to desire sometimes. I keep my unit up to date too. The Nuvi 660 is a lot better in these regards.

Sounds like a firmware update is needed or you got a bum unit.

You guys definitely got a bum unit. I have a 780 in y car...and a 760 in my family car...both sweet. Got nice deals on them thanks to MS 25% cashbac.

Will definitely jump on the 765 or 785..love the sound of those new features

"Offer excludes Bose, Olevia, Element, Vizio, Toshiba TV's, Polaroid TVs, Magnovox TVs, Kicker, Apple, Panasonic projectors, select Polk models, select Garmin models, ... "

AND "YMMV" - I got a "Not Currently Available"

The best thing to do with CC and the AAA coupon is to buy it and then take the coupon in later and have them apply it. Done it plenty of times. Usually takes me explaining what a calculator is to them to figure out 10% is though....

Ameritrade is still giving out the GPS. It saids 660 but they're replacing it with the 760 as the 660 is discontinued.

Circuit City is CRAP CITY. CHEAT CITY might be an apt name for them, They advertise deals that are too good to be true, like this one. I have had several similar experiences earlier too. It is a ploy by them to get eye ball views to this site. They don't show the Out Of Stock on the product selection page, you have to checkout to see the message. Their customer support is one of the worst, The associates at the stores are no better, they frame their own rules for rejecting coupons or price matching with their own web site. No wonder this store is in the verge of filing Chapter 11.

I don't see how anyone can call these crap. How can the 660 be better? It's made by Garmin. I'm sure they didn't change a whole lot with the 760, other than *improvements* and adding features. I have a 750, which has to be exactly the same as the 750 with regards to directions, and although every now and then it's not perfect (I doubt any are), I used it a few weeks ago to successfully drive around NYC, with their screwed up streets, the whole time thinking "Man, this would be a nightmare without this GPS".
One problem with mine is even the 2009 maps are really out of date, so POI's that have been closed/open for a few years are on/not on it, respectively.

I wonder if it'll be possible to hack the 7x0 series to add the 7x5 features?

Very hot deal. All you have to do is deposit $50,000 to a new or existing account.

alert mods

Yes, I bet the 750 has to be exactly the same as the 750.

Yeah, I saw that about the $50,000 deposit too.

I'd love to find someplace closing out the 660 or 760 (in STOCK!)
