Sears Ultimate Big Power Promise

Did anyone click on the Sears Ultimate Big Power Promise link?? If I am reading it correctly under the Service and Support tab Two years of Worry Free Service on all gas powered Lawn and Garden equipment is included. I take that as a two year repair plan, can anyone clarify?

Great deal. I would be all over this if I did not have an electric one.

PLEASE keep in mind this is for snowfalls 6-8 inches. Its not a beast .

See the photo. I marked in red spots whats polymer....I think they do they to keep it user friendly (weight and no rusting)

Check out this Ariens snowthrower thats $699. Fairly close in motor size. Look at the body and the chute. Its mainly polymer as well.

Also check out This Toro about $670.

And here I figured this would work wonders for clearing your driveway after a hurricane!

Thanks OP, green 4 U. Also added the $10 off $50 link from Sears page on FW (sry gone now, good Thursday - Saturday) and got it for 214.39 + tax.
Order started at 11:57 PM & finished at 12:03 AM (was sweating because it failed several times),finally went through and still applied additional $10 discount!

Order placed: September 21, 2008

Est. Arrival: Available in 3 - 5 days
Tax: $13.51
Savings applied: -65.49
Total Charges: $227.90

i think it is dead now. there is some kind of error, and instead of taking the discount from the 280 it takes it from the 380 and so it ends up being more expensive than the pre coupon price.

Something is wrong over there

Here is what my cart looks like with snowblower in it. The total is wrong though. Look at the sale price and discounts in red. They do not match the total at bottom of page

Photo of cart

Edit to add the total Should be 195.38+ tax with all the discounts in red

I took screenshots of the pricing errors but am thinking of purchasing it anyhow. What do you guys think my chances will be of getting them to fix it? Worth the hassle?

Its doing it to other things too....Check this out Add it to your cart and same thing happends

Shows 399 on sale but when using the coupon and discounts its not taking it from the sale price but retail price

Interesting. I purchased it anyways as my parents are getting older and have a 200+ ft driveway to clear in the snowbelt. If Sears doesn't price adjust I guess my parents are going to have to suffer!

Thanks, OP!

Yup interesting. I also purchased it for in-store pickup, hope Sears does the adjustment($279 - $50) otherwise they will loose the sale and unlucky me have to shovel snow this year
I guess we have to call Sears online customer service late morning as they are closed now.

I just ordered one in metro Detroit and everything went through. $227.25 out the door.

whats our feelings on the extendend warranty? I bought the snow blower but couldn't bring myself to pay so much for the extended warranty so I charged it on the AMEX for the extra free year of warranty that they give. anyone else have any thoughts on the matter?
