Get a $40 Visa (R) Prepaid Card on a Staples 10-Sheet Safety Handle Cross Cut Shredder (SKU 649936) at Staples Stores ONLY (card is issued by MetaBank pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.)

Rebate only valid on in-store purchases.

I am in for one... but post from oopsz scares me... Will the rebate be honoured or not if I buy it online. I will check out Staples stores while going back home to see if they are at 59.99$ like online.

But why is that online product displays a rebate link, if it is only valid in store?

Verified that this is only for in-store purchases. There are no Staples in my area, and they said they would not honor my internet purchase and rebate request for the $40 rebate, unless purchased at a B&M location.

I think I will cancel my order... for 65$ (inlcuding tax) it is not worth buying.

Just cancelled my order now. Hope they are able to stop the delivery.

$59.99 is on-line price. If you can get local store to match online price, it's good deal. Definitely YMMV.

Got my local Staples to price match the online price......$59.99 and used a $10 off $50 in store coupon I had...and finally used $10.40 from a Staples gift card I had from something I returned without a receipt. Green for the op...been looking for a decent shredder and for $10 after the visa card it can't be beat..does credit cards and cd's...the local store had it for $99 I think.

This shredder is on sale for $50. With 40 card comes out being $10. This in NJ circular.

How exactly you do a price match? You buy it and then do a price match or before buying you do a price match?

manager didnt do price matching
Bought at kiosk hoping that it would qualify as in-store purchase
EasyRebate is not accepting this receipt for this rebate
so the shredder is going back

Thanks OP. After 5 minutes or so talking with the manager they matched the price of 59.99. I was able to use a 10 off 40 Staples coupon that was sent in the mail as well as a 10 dollar rewards card that was expiring. Got it for 43 and change out the door or just under 4 bucks after rebate. Looks like a pretty good shredder.

I was able to price-match the online price and the manager took about 10 mins. checking out the online price, reading the rebate online and calling twice to confirm the rebate's validity. Then he finally told the cashier that it's valid and gave me the price. I played with the display in the store and definitely a hell of a lot better in quality and sturdiness than my cheapo cross cut shredder.
