Seriously though, I agree with you. This thing reminds me of those ground effects on cars that were popular when mullets ruled the earth.
Then after some time people realized that neither ground effects nor mullets were actually a good thing.

I do however still occasionally see some dude with a now-receding hairline cruising around in his red '92 Honda Civic with purple ground effects, his partial mullet blowing in the breeze, with Metallica or Leppard blasting at "11" from his car stereo.

If I feel up to it, when he cruises by I sometimes feel sorry for him and cannot fight the urge to hold up my outstretched arm with my hand high above my head in the "Hook 'Em Horns" hand gesture and yell "Rock on Billy Ray, Rock On."

So to you who think the Wii Docking Station w/ LED lights is the thing, I say "Rock On to you Wii Lover, Rock On."
