Placed an order to try my luck with this Super Deal as I don't even have a Sales Tax being from Oregon . The In-store pick-up should be picked up in 8 days from the day of order. In the worst case scenario if the BestBuy charges additional $400 for not picking up the item in 8 days, I will bargain for store credit to buy a better home theatre down the lane. If that doesn't work out, I can always return the items to get full refund. Qty Product Description Price Qty Price Shipping Tax Total 1 Samsung-1200W 5.1-Ch. XM-Ready Home Theater System with Upconvert DVD Player-HT-TZ512 SKU: 8715759 $379.99 1 $379.99 $0.00 $0.00 $379.99 Store Pickup: BEAVERTON OR Status: 1 item(s) - confirming InStore Inventory at BEAVERTON OR 451. Qty Product Description Price Qty Price Shipping Tax Total 1 Samsung-50" 720p Flat-Panel Plasma HDTV-PN50A450 SKU: 8749438 $597.99 1 $597.99 $0.00 $0.00 $597.99 Deliver to: .......... Status: 1 item(s) - confirming Delivery Date of 10/03/08. Thanks for the deal guys. Let's see if it works out. I know for sure because of the popularity of this deal, it will soon be not available online. So, hurry in guys & all the best to everyone who likes to give it a try. |

Anyone have an idea on how long this will run for? I'm quite interested, but I might not be able to place an order for a couple days. TIA. |

Who knows how long it will even be in stock for? If I watched a little more TV I'd already be on this. This is one of the best TV deals I've seen in a long time. |

ingenue007 said:do newer plasmas still have issues w/burn in? (item description says it has features to prevent burn-in)
i need a tv that will run ~10 hours continuous each day (may stay on one or two channels all day). would i be better waiting for lcd deal? Because of the nature of Plasmas(along with tubes), precautions still need to be taken to avoid possible burn in, especially during the first 100-200 hours of operation. Even so, the Samsung plasmas seem to collect more complaints about burn in. I recently purchased the 42" Panasonic for relatives I visited for a month, taking all of the precautions advised for the first 200 hours. Not a trace of burn in. Never even noticed any image retention, but I probably just was not sensitive to it. Having said that, Panasonic still advises explicitly how to avoid burn and ir, and has a utility setting called the scrolling bar to remedy, if it occurs. So again, yes, burn in can happen with plasmas. Since the Samsungs will undoubtably be used with computers by many, you will really need to be careful, probably. The good thing is it takes several hours(well, maybe not hours) of a static image to cause it, so with care, it can be avoided. |

I actually just MOVED, and rec'd a 10% off coupon in the mail via the US Postal Service. I'm 80% certain that this excluded HDTVs-- can anyone confirm this special offer valid or exempt? It would be a great deal to stack on to this already incredible offer! Thanks! |

You would have to attempt something "in store" to use that coupon, no? |

I should note that this was an exclusive BEST BUY coupon which I tossed out & no longer have in my possession, but I'm nearly certain you can pick them up for free at any Post Office in an address change kit... |

Just ordered one. Super hot deal with the pretty decent sound system. The site says if you don't pick up in 8 days, they will refund the amount. So I don't know whey people are freaking out. I am sure you can pull off the $600 for the TV without any major issues. Thanks for whoever found this! PS: the price is $997, and not $977. |

holy hell.... 597?!?! If I still have the balls (or the female equivalent to them) in the morning, I will do this. Will let you know how it worked out in a Houston BB. Edit: But I have to wonder- if/when I go to pick it up, won't they wonder why I'm not picking up the rest of the order???
Also, if someone tries to return the HT, please let me know how it worked out. The refund policy makes it seem like you can return one bundled item -but there's mention of whether or not the coupon/discount will be added to your bill. |
