The only thing that concerns me is that my confirmation page stated that my card will be charged for the $1026 (tax included). The way I look at it, it's 2 seperate transactions & the TV is at 597 & the stereo is at 397, so I'll return the stereo at a later date if need be. There's no restocking fee for the stereo and there's no indicator that it's bundled. And, if they operate like Circuit City does for instore pickups, there'll be 2 seperate reciept for returns.
are you able to look at your receipt? how do you know there's no indicator for bundled?
not doubting, just want to get in on it... but really can't afford pay 1k ... esp for HT system that I will NEVER use.... My order reads (and sorry that the formatting sucks) : Qty Product Description Price Qty Price Shipping Tax Total 1 Samsung-50" 720p Flat-Panel Plasma HDTV-PN50A450 SKU: 8749438 $597.99 $597.99 $0.00 $29.90 $627.89 [PICKED UP FROM STORE 1 WHICH I DON'T WANT TO POST HERE] 1 Samsung-1200W 5.1-Ch. XM-Ready Home Theater System with Upconvert DVD Player-HT-TZ512 SKU: 8715759 $379.99 $379.99 $0.00 $19.00 $398.99 [PICK UP FROM STORE 2 WHICH I DON'T WANT TO POST HERE] The receipt when I bought it implied that the price of the TV was $597 & the HT was $379 and there was a note in red saying that the HT was part of a bundle, not the TV. The bundle return policy is that you can return your bundled item for whatever you paid for the bundle price, not the original price. The bundled HT price is $379 |

Just a point...read the BB reviews and it appears that most compliants on the TV have to do with the sound. Could the package be to cover for the sound problem? On the other hand the reviews for the sound system are good so as a package deal it may not be a bad buy... |

Yeah, so long as the cashier really doesn't make much of it...i don't see any reason they won't take the sound system back for the original purchase price. They have to give you SOME numerical value for it, and the checkout is not indicating that the TV is 997 & the sound unit is bundled "free." Yes, YMMV, but I think this one's good to go. Can't hurt to try. This is an awesome deal -- and what GREAT TIMING! |

But we don't broadcast in 1080p so what's the point in spending all that money....yet. blah. There's no point in holding out for 1080p. My eyes are shot anyway.

RE: Sound on this TV Samsungs just don't have good sound in general. I plan on hooking mine up to my surround sound receiver that I already own. That said, the sound on Samsungs isn't the greatest, but it's not that bad. I'm basing this off of my sister's 46" Samsung & the Samsungs I've seen at Marriott hotels when on biz travel. |

Bundle packages are offered all the time, for whatever reason. These Samsungs have a large following. Maybe not so much as the Panasonics, but still highly rated. More so than the Panasonics by some. |

BudmanTom said:This maybe the deal of the year? Circuit City offered a similar deal with the same scenario earlier this year. With it you got a Sony 46" 1080P Lcd and a $799 HT system free.If you chose pick-up from 2 dif locations you were able to cancel the HT.After a 10% coupon I was able to get the KDL-46V3000 for around $950.......... You might want to try a PM at CC,pick up the TV at store ,and cancel the delivery of the HT. |

From Best Buy: "Bundle Purchases You may return bundle purchases in accordance with our standard Return Policy. If you are unsatisfied with an individual item you purchased as part of a bundle package, you may return that item separately. Note: In some cases, a bundle discount has been applied to each item. You will be refunded the discounted price, which may differ from the price if you purchased it individually. To review the amount you will be refunded for each individual item within the bundle, visit the My Account page after you submit you" I ordered, then went to my acccount and checked out the order, the prices are listed as 597.99 for the tv and 379.99 for the stereo, there is no other prices listed so does that mean that this is legit? By Best Buy's own "rules" the amount they refund for each item will be listed here after it is ordered.... |

I call BB for online return policy. For 50" TV ordered online, you cannot return by yourself. They will send their delivery team to pick up, and this will cost $70 So if this does not work out as OP, will lose 70 bucks... Any idea to get away with this? Can I ordered it for pickup at two different places, first pickup the HT and return it, and then pick up the TV? |

Yeah, it's legit. The best YMMV strategy is to try and be discreet about it. Clearly, they are not going to take back the Home Theater unit & then jack up the price of the TV...no one there is really bright enough to do that. Worse case scenario -- and i mean WORST case scenario, eBay it. It still beats out Amazon and everyone else... |

That really doesn't make much sense...I would venture to guess that if they won't allow you to return it to the store yourself, then you can get a full refund (and dispute the pickup charge). Do they mean to say that you can take it home yourself but can't return it yourself? That doesn't make any sense... |
