Sorry but people please stop posting "deals" for this CRAPmp3 player. No its not worth $1.00.

This mp3 player is one of, if not, the worst player ever to be manufactured. YES, It that bad.

I've had four of them..I've found mine to be just fine. My 13 year old son likes to take an mp3 player to school just to listen to on the bus. He lost one, and one got chewed by the dog. I'm sure glad I didn't buy him an Ipod!

I use one when I run. Don't have to worry too much about dropping it or losing it when you can buy one for under twenty dollars. Sound is fine, and it's easy to use. I don't know about longevity, since I keep giving them to my son and he keeps losing/breaking them.

Hmmm... Maybe, you don't understand how to use it or don't grasp its niche.

It takes AAA batteries (great so you can buy a few nimh rechargeables to swap out), has fm tuner, voice recorder, and works great with playlists made in Windows Media Player. Sure it has a small screen, but other then that it is awesome for the gym. I have put one through the washer and dryer and it still worked - try that with an $100 ipod. This thing is $6.99 plus shipping. IMHO this is the perfect player for taking anywhere you would not want to risk a more expensive player.

I have one in my glove compartment, one in my gym bag, and one that is MIA (but since it was so cheap, I am not fretting about it).

I've had my m240 for over 5 years now. In that time (up until a month ago) it hasn't given me a single bit of trouble. It's been to the gym, goes motorcycling, makes yard work go by quicker... let's just say it's seen a lot of use and a lot of sweat. About a month ago the display stopped working, but it still plays fine. I think that's very, very acceptable. I'll probably pick up one or two of the woot ones to replace mine.

I have one for gym usage and I hate it--I've had it for a couple years but gone through dozens of AAA batteries. The battery usage simply sucks. I even take the battery out after every time I use it, and put it back in when I do, to prevent unnecessary drainage, but it still eats through them like crazy. I'm going to replace it with another cheap (1-2gig) mp3 player once my 8pack of AAA runs low.

Use nimhs, mine last atleast a week with an 1-2 hour usage a day.
