$100 MAIL-IN REBATE

Does anyone have experience with the battery life of these? The description says Run Time (Up To): 2.25 hour(s), but is that with the brightness turned all of the way down and not doing anything but setting idle? Or are those real world usage hours. I can't stand turning my brightness down for the most part and with normal laptop ratings a rating of "up to" is normally double of what the real world numbers are.
