Fan Appreciation Sale? Begging fans to keep supporting them after not making the playoffs? |
Actually, they want fans of each team to buy their merchandise after their season is over since players will be moving on to other teams. They'd rather sell at 80% now, then 20% later.... |
Congrats on your first post. But this deal... ick |

And thanks for the appreciation Steinbrenner family by raising my ticket prices another 45%. |

Yuck the fankees! |
I am a Yankees fan but anybody who goes to games (without free tickets) is nuts. |
mlb.com is the worst w/ customer service and shipping. |

You park in the garage next to the stadium, you walk out and into the ballpark and you won't see the "crappy" neighborhood. You really aren't a big fan of the team if you refuse to participate in visiting one of the most historic venues of alltime. |
Actually you can get a Dog and a beer at a Devil's game for $8. Try getting that for under $15 at the OLD Yankee Stadium.. let alone the giant multi-million dollar scam that is the new Yankees Stadium. Everyone knows the Yankees suck. Need we continue the discussion further? I think not. |

In the Ice and Fire VIP Lounges (where the food and sodas are included with the ticket price) at the Devils arena, a 20oz is $8.50 and a 16oz bottle is $7.75. Similarly, the Islanders have offered Chix Fingers and Fries platter for around $8 for several years now. But they should pay you to see a game at that old barn (that's another story). As for the deal, it's really a non-deal. 20% off mlb.com prices are still generally much more than the item should cost. |

Uhmm, I know you're trying to sound smart and all, but why not just say "You really aren't a big fan if you dont go to the game. Then again maybe they arent a fan of the team because 3/4 of them are hired mercenaries, which is in direct contrast to your attempt at appealing to the emotions by referring to the site as one of the most historic venues of alltime. There's a Jeter on my %$#@% knock it off, there's a Jeter on my ^%$#@ knock him off..... lol |
Not sure which Yankee Stadium you are referring to, |

I have seen people bring in Subway sandwiches, homemade sandwiches, etc. You just have to have it in a clear bag, which the stadium will give you when you arrive. |

My problem is that he would NEVER pay to see the team he supports. Whether half the team is as you call them "hired mercenaries" or just trades they made along the way, you can't be much of a fan if the ONLY way you would go is if the tickets were free. The bleachers are still cheap enough seats to buy and watch a game. |
You are SO wrong. There is no restriction on bringing food into the stadium - I do it all the time. Now, of course, it's not something the Yankees advertise, but plenty of folks bring in sandwiches or even more elaborate fare. And I ALWAYS bring my own peanuts - much cheaper and I can but better quality. AND there is no rule about how many bottles you can bring in - I often bring in two bottles of water and never had a problem. Now, if you tried to talk in with a 6 pack, they might balk. As to those of you who think this 20% off is a bad deal because the merchandise is already overpriced, well, hey, that's how authentic sports apparel is priced. Folks know that they are overpaying, but for the true fan it is worth the cost. Go to a hockey game some time and see the countless fans wearing $200 jerseys. |

Tough season. 20% off next year's inflated ticket prices would certainly catch my eye. I'll pass on this deal. |
