Information about separate deals from in Sneak Peek

There are two original proofs of purchase. One is on the flap under the top cover. The second is on the back of manual.

edit01: made clear NAV = Norton Anti-Virus in title
edit02: as noted by 9hb, two rebates, 08-31507 and 08-31505, require an original proof of purchase. In past years' versions, there have been two proofs of purchase: one a flap under the box top and another on the back of the manual.
edit03: added rebate numbers for the rebates that had TBD rebate numbers. Please note that early Sunday morning, new Staples EZrebates are listed as Mail-In rebates on the search page but clearly state they are EZrebates in the text of the rebate.
edit04: INSTORE only
edit05: added rebate limits
edit06: added information about second original proof of purchase

Looks like a found a home for my $25 off $100 OM coupon that I recently received via snail mail.

Thanks!

Forgive me ignorance, but how does one use these rebates when ordering online? Where does one get the proper coupons/codes?

I think there was a similar NAV 2009 + shredder deal last week. If I remember correctly, the rebate states the items must be purchased instore.

IanM said:Forgive me ignorance, but how does one use these rebates when ordering online? Where does one get the proper coupons/codes?The rebates to complete this deal will be a mix of mail-in required and Staples EZrebates. The TBD rebate numbers will be updated Sunday when they become available.

The mailed-in rebates are mail-in like any other rebate. The forms will be available either at stapleseasyrebates.com or symantecrebates.com. The receipt required for the mailed-in rebates from an online order should be in the shipment somewhere. I would suggest pre-submitting online the mail-in rebates so that you have a rebate tracking number from the get go.

The Staples EZrebates can either be completely submitted online at stapleseasyrebates.com or mailed-in.

No coupon is required to get this combined purchase at FAR. If you do not have a coupon that was sent to you by Staples, you can look for one on this board (One Time Use Coupons) or you can purchase one from various sources on the net (eBay, www.e-junkie.com, etc) if you so choose and you of course assume any and all responsibilities of any repercussions from such activity.

Both 08-31507 and 08-31505 require the ORIGINAL proof of purchase of Norton Anti-Virus 2009. Does it have 2 proof of purchases in the box?

Both have been allowed for rebates. I have not seen a 2009 version yet.

yes, one on the butt, one on the ear.

Even if one of the upgrade rebates doesn't go through- definitely worth it.

The 2nd POP is on the back of the user guide. The back cover of the user guide is now the "Quick Start" card.

Does anyone have any experience submitting the shredder-type rebate more than once? I was thinking of doing separate purchases, one w/ shredder and one with external HD. The promo numbers are the same but does anyone know if there's a limit of 3 as w/ upgrades? May have to call Parago to ask.

The Norton Anti-Virus with combined purchase rebate (08-31505) is limit 3 as well but the Norton Anti-Virus SER (08-31142) is limit 1.

Thanks bpvh. I can work around the SER but I did shredder & NAV last week so wasn't sure I could do 08-31505 again this week. I can't believe its only October and I'm going have hit my limit of 3 already!

I was going to buy into this deal but after looking at the Mailmate, it was WAY too small for my needs. The container was hardly bigger than a gallon of milk. Thanks OP for listing the deal but I'll wait for a bigger unit.

It stores more than you think, b/c it shreds things still folded up. In fact I can shred more stuff w/o dumping than with a full size 8sheet x-cut Xerox shredder I bought a long time ago.
