I think you're the one who's not too bright, my friend. Ever heard of the Tmobile G1? |

I just received my D-80 as a gift, but with no SDHC card. I realize the D-80 needs an SDHC card but have been confused on what I should use optimally. Have been doing a lot of reading on the web and Nikon's site. Seems that the SanDisk Extreme III is recommended, but saw it says "30/mb's" which I now know is the "read" speed. But have been looking for a SDHC card that has the best "write" speed for the D-80. Done some homework and this looks to be good (Class 6). So, hopefully I can snag one tomorrow @ 11 am PST. Thanks again! SO I do a little photography, use to be full time profession, more part time now, FWIW The speed of the card does not enter into anything until you shoot past the buffer(the cameras internal ability to record files), the D80's buffer is 23 fine images or so enough to shoot most plays in a football game with the hammer down. If it's a night game noise reductiong will cut it back to 13 or so. I hope if your learning, you'll be more selective than that... Can't think of too many things you'd need that kinda speed for... |

There should be some kind of an ultragreen color for a deal like this. In for 2 when the time comes. These things will be gone by 8:30 PT, no? |

Does any one know whether the built in readers in Toshiba laptops built in 2007 can read this SDHC cards ? I want to buy one for my niece who will be getting a new digital camera. It would be nice if she can pop the card from camera and slide into built in reader of the laptop |

NICE FIND, OP! and thanks for sharing how you found out the info... sweet. [[calculates 8AM PDT minus 3 hours = 5a island-time... hmm.. that's kinda early.. but YEAH, SO TOTALLY WORTH IT! Thanks again OP!]] And as much as I've enjoyed Sony products over the years, I agree w/ you hceuterpe, on your opinion of Sony, (mainly because of their proprietary issues) and that's why I went w/ a Canon cam instead. (I absolutely LOVE my SD750!) hceuterpe said:Not too bright eh? "From website: 31MB of memory has been built into the camera. This is enough for around 13 shots. Thanks! I use a 4gb SDHC in my D80 and it works great. It should not be a problem. I'm going to order one tomorrow!

Also, thanks to iceui2 and cesiumvirus for your input.
You should grab 2 so you can shoot RAW + Fine JPEG mode. I have a D80 as well. |

Black Friday will be Everyday until Economy does 180. Retailers expect bad holiday Season. So they are tryin to rake in some cash for next quarter. No cash means end to their business, since bank loans are scarce. |
