LCD screens are only made by a few manufacturers so that should be ok (except possible concern that a small company would not have the clout to demand the best ones; ie, zero dead pixels).
You want info? Call the 1-800 on Monday and chat with someone in tech support. They might to be very forthcoming with the straight dope.
Having to wait until Monday to get tech support, should tell you something.
yes it does. they respect their employees. Spoken like a true Obama supporter. So, how many are you buying? |

I got the 1080 Norcent for $440 at Staples a year ago. AMAZING HD picture. AMAZING. Better than anything else I've seen, and everyone who's watched it agrees. |

PS. Phillips TV's stink. They might be the only brand in history to sell more refurbs than new. Might be the only product in history to have one million PPM. So do Magnavox, Viewsonic, VIZIO, and Westinghouse, to name a few. |

That's just my opinion though.
not that I am dissing you, but I bet that was the only plasma you've had. How many plasma's does someone have to own before you aren't dissing them?
I've owned 42" vizio plasma, 50" Vizio plasma, 42" Sceptre LCD, 52" Philips LCD, 50" Panasonic Plasma, and 42" Philips Plasma to this date. Best TV I've had was 52" Philips LCD so far.
I just can't trust anyone claiming to have the best TV in his life when in fact he busted his butt on black friday to buy a haier brand for $499. The best TV in his life, not your life. Sounds like you've got plenty of disposable income and you're burning up the plasmas and lcd's. Not everyone is so finicky that they aren't satisfied with the first screen they get. So, if he says it's the best tv he has ever had, how do you disagree? Philips has the worst Customer service and bad quality. If you have any problem about the TV you'll never get it repaired only if you BBB it. |

Nice, but IT DOES NOT WORK with the Logitech Harmony out of the box. It is not listed in the TV drop down. You can probably use its learning feature, but that's too much hassle. |

Consumer Reports recommends Samsung 42in LCD, with 1080p. That's where my money's going. Just a thought, though, since I don't even have 1 plasma OR LCD, so what do I know? |

720p looks terrific. You'd be hard pressed to notice the difference between 720 & 1080 at regular viewing distances. Heck, I project a 100" 720p image and it has impressive detail. A very high end (read: expensive) 1080 display might be noticeably better, but I'd go for the better and less expensive 720p than a compromise 1080 display that isn't noticeably sharper. |

FYI - Haier sells A/C condensers and coils made in China. Price point product average quality(think Ford Taurus) - good price. |

I saw the mention Haier here and had to post my opinion. I have a haier washer - air conditioner and a wine cooler and they all are total junk. Even the appliance store that has been warranting my stuff said that they have quit selling the products because of issues with their quality. Yea I know that they are now running a DC and BC in the US but pay a few bucks more and buy some quality and don't worry about the breakdowns. I got sucked into the price point with them and it was a mistake |

My personal opinion is that Samsung rocks. I have two of em... a 40" LCD & a 56" slim DLP (both 1080p). I still, however, am considering one of these cheapo TVs for my pool table room. |
