Don't let the Aldi name scare you off, Medion is a great company and makes really good electronics! And the price is great considering the specs! |
I think with 3 yr warrenty, this might be a better deal than the computer. 720 P recording !!! Traveler * 10x optical super zoom |
Why does everyone keep coming out with mammoth screens with puny resolutions? In the 1990s you could get 1600x1200 on a 15" easily, and now all laptops seem to be resolution starved. |

The other specs are ok for something in this price range, but nothing spectacular. |

Two reasons for the "terrible resolution" of new large laptop screens, versus the 1990's: (1) Laptops cost $400-$800 now, and they were $1400-$2500. Cost drives features. |

how come they rarely mention weight & batt life? It is a laptop after all. I don't want to lug around a bag of bricks that runs for 30 mins and has to be plugged in. If I wanted that, I'd buy a desktop |

why are people who are not commenting giving negative rating ?? Can someone tell me whats wrong with this deal ??? |
It is an off brand laptop for $700 plus tax. Head over to any of the D3ll "days of deals" laptop deals and configure a nice system for the same or less. Dennis |

Ask anyone to name the top 5 notebook computer makers, heck even the top 10, and "Medion" is not going to be on the list of anyone. Well, I guess YOU might put then on your list Dennis |

spider991 said:Please!....I'm just an old guy looking for a nice product for a nice price is this a deal or what? not in the market, so i dont know if this is a deal or not ... but going by past experience(s): |
for the price, these are nice specs. the screen resolution isn't as terrible as everyone says, and if you're an "old guy" it might be easier on your eyes. i know a lot of people that run their 19" monitors in 1024x768 mode (not native!) because they can't see the small stuff. i can't comment on medion, never bought their stuff. the real question is, as one other poster mentioned, how much does it weigh, and what's the battery life? |
Another question is where do I buy a replacement (or second) battery? is this an MSI OEM? |
