Word. Just grab a cart from the parking lot on your walk into the store. BrainySmurf said:yesidonoitall said:OT
RE: WM
New manager 4 weeks ago.... New problem, no shopping carts... in the store. This is in each of 5 visits I have made during the day since he took over. Parking lot is loaded with them. No one to go get them.
Yesterday, same. A guy is sweeping the entrance area with a broom and dust pan. I tell him, no carts in store AGAIN. He says one of the cart machines used to push them is broke, ok use the other one, he says no persons on duty who can use it. I said OK, just go and get 5 or so at a time, as many as you can push. His answer, thats not his job. Unbelievable.
When I park my car, if I see lots of shopping carts, I usually grab one; Because. . . I'm walking that way anyway and figure they don't have an unlimited supply at the door.
But I understand your plight. I can't believe the attitude they give me when I expect them to wipe my butt when I use their restroom. Unbelieveable. |

Of course, this fire lane does not interfere with WMT LINING THE CARTS THREE or FOUR ROWS DEEP ALONG THE FIRE LANE making it difficult to avoid the SHOPPERS ENTERING THE STORE

Unbelievable. 1. As BrainySmurf suggested, it does not take much effort to push a cart on your way in to the store, just in case there is none. They have wheels to make it easier for everyone to push. 2. 4 months ago--no cart. Yesterday--no cart. Looks like it may be a trend, otherwise you have no reason to complain. How many more times does it take for you to realize that the next time you go there, there might be no cart available inside? |

couponman77 said:time to finally pull the trigger on ps3. thanks op! Finally? They've done $100 gift cards before and this is still the PS3 with no backwards compatibility. Unless you just weren't ready to buy before, this really isn't a brand new low price point IIRC. |

Highly YMMV: Requirements to satisfy. 1. You're able to get your hands on the limited quantity available PS3 this Saturday at WM. -thread 2. You have a new SonyCard with the $150 credit after $299 or more purchase promotion (recently expired, currently $50 credit at Sony Rewards) that you haven't used yet. -thread 3. You have $100 Discover Gift Cards from this Discover promotion. You have to make a $200 purchase to receive $20 GC at participating malls (limit 5 GCs per credit card account, 5*$20 = $100). Read the thread for details. -thread 4. You have a very limited time (until this Saturday) to get everything lined up so you can take advantage. Get Sony PS3 for $49.99 + tax at WalMart $399.99 + tax for Sony PS3 -$100 pay with Discover GCs ---------------------------------------- $299.99 balance, pay off with Sony Card -$150 credit from Sony Card -$100 WalMart GC =================== $49.99 + tax total for Sony PS3 (YMMV) |

His answer, thats not his job. Unbelievable. Believe it. Unfortunately, my experience at Wallyworld tends to be the same. My Gripes: 1. It's often hard, to impossible, to find an employee (in the aisles) for customer assistance. Moral of this lesson for cheap Fatwalleters (like myself): Don't drop dead in a WalMart store. Your body will start to decay before you are discovered, and no amount of makeup by the morgue can cover up the footprints and shopping cart tracks left on your face. (Albeit - this is only true in stores which have shopping carts available). 2. It's good that Wallyworld has some of the lowest prices, because every since the replacement of the actual price tag on products (remember those circa 1972?), it's also sometimes hard to discover the price of some products. (Half of the products have 10-feet price signs, others have none). Look for a self-serve scanner. 3. WalMart has plenty of lawyers that could be pushing shopping carts! I live in a very small town that has a Wallyworld "Super-Center" that sells everything, yet they are currently building yet another Wallyworld on the other side of town (3 miles or less)! City residents and small businesses banded together and for 4 years repeatedly sued Wallyworld to keep this 2nd store from being developed, but our stupid 8 City Commissioners voted that they could not deny Wallyworld a developement license, because that wasn't their place to decide! Gosh, you'd think that a company that was not clearly wanted in excess in a city would go elsewhere, but no, they spent several million to outspend the opponents in court fees. Now, our small downtown businesses (where you can get personal customer service), are slowly going out of business. This is occurring all over the U.S.! Monopolization is not good. 4. Be a temporary Wallyworld employee (sort of): Self Service cashiering lanes means you can scan and bag your own items at Wallyworld (and save the environment too). That's also good, because when I go through a traditional checkout lane, and I buy just 5 items, Wallyworld employees always find a way to put them in 6 plastic bags!!! Since some plastic doesn't break down in the environment for decades, all those plastic Wallyworld bags in our landfills are like hidden advertisements for archaeologists in the future. |

Employees optional huh? Bring in your own cart. Find your own products. Answer your own product questions. Find your own product prices with a price scanner. Checkout, scan, and bag your own products. Be your own cashier by swiping a credit or debit card through a self serve lane. Thank yourself for bringing your business to WalMart as you take your products out to your vehicle, and as you return your own cart to one of those shopping cart corrals. Drive yourself home (very short drive since they're building Walmarts on every corner). EDIT: My WalMart has loudspeaker phones in the store. So perhaps customers who expected more customer service but don't get it, can "call" themselves foolish for expecting employee assistance? Next time, those customers should just buy everything from WalMart online, where it's fully automated. |

Where do I get one! I'll go stand in line now! Gosh how do they put it in such a small package? Small enough to stack with school books! I got't have one!!! And it fits in my handlebar bag on my bicycle, and the available 5+ hour battery is sweet! I've been calling Wally World but they don't have a clue what I'm talking about, are you sure it's better than the EE computers? Perhaps it's green and you think it's a better color? Or perhaps it's bigger and you think bigger is better, then again it's a laptop, kinda designed to carry around, so bigger as a preference might be counter intuitive... |
