Spend $40 or more two times at Walmart Stores or walmart.com and get a $20 statement credit on your American Express Archived From: Expired Deals |
|
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS (T & C) Terms: If your card account accrues finance charges, the balance up on which finance charges are assessed will include the gross amount of your transactions (i.e. without application of the $20 credit). and you will be responsible to pay amounts due as provided in the terms of your cardmember agreement. If your Card account is a charge card account on which you have activated a flexible payment feature (e.g. Expo) the gross amount of your purchase will be changed to flexible payment feature if it is eligible for that treatment, while the $20 credit may be credited to the due in full balance of your charge card account. In this case, finance charges will accrue on the flexible paymanet feature balance until that balance is paid in full. Terms and Conditions said:

it this legit or possibly just giving our credit card info away?? |
Why do they need to security code? Are they afraid someone else going to sign me up for the promo? |
gregdep said:it this legit or possibly just giving our credit card info away?? I tried looking for the WalMart offer on the American Express network site but can't find it. This might be a fishing expedition so be careful! |
gregdep said:it this legit or possibly just giving our credit card info away?? Same question here. Is there any link FROM the AMEX-site to this one anywhere? |
with so many poor quality items on shelf difficult to find $80 worth of stuff. |
gregdep said:it this legit or possibly just giving our credit card info away??The root of the link is http://www.amexnetwork.com/, which is an American Express website. http://offers.amexnetwork.com/walmartconnect?issuerName=us_amexnetworkdefault |
I just called American Express because I had my doubts about the legitimacy of the website after I had submitted my credit card (foolish I know). They indicated that the card I submitted was authorized and that the merchant that authorized the card was actually American Express. So everything was fine. |

I noticed that, too. Anyone know if someone else can use the root of the link to create a phishing site? All of the other links from the site look legitimate. However, none of the other offers require registration of your AMEX card. They all give you codes to use for discounts. I'd like this to be real, but still am wary.... |
It's legit, I called AMEX customer service cause I got a card in the mail yesterday promoting the same thing, when I tried to enroll it wouldn't let me, so I called to see if it was legit and they said it was, but apparently that site was down at the time....so for what it's worth. |
If it is legit, read the fine print on the enrollment page. Says that eligible purchases must be made between 11/18/08 and 12/18/08 so don't go shopping too early! |
yes it would apply to the Wal-Mart pharmacy. There are no exclusions except eligible purchases must be made between 11/18/08 and 12/18/08. |
If this offer works for gift cards, Wal*mart gift cards can be used at Sams Club warehouse stores, where additional rebates from credit cards are hard to get. |
