I don't understand the need to upgrade to Vista or why anyone would want to use Vista if it didn't already come pre-installed. |

TTM77 said: It's Vista. It'll slow to a craw even with dual core. Don't see info on RAM which Vista alone gonna take up most if not all just to do it's little dancing logo.
My boss have it.. he click and click and wait and wait. I had work with it and pull out my hair every single time. I had never pull out my hair with any other OS even when I first use them.
Anyway, Vista take up too much system resource and leave little for other software.
Anyway, lets move on with other deals. LMFAO @ folks STILL complaining about Vista... Thanks for the heads up though OP! The acer would be a VERY good deal to more than a few people. |

It may have changed, but a few years ago they were as good as you can get. You didn't need to be sneaky, and they actually promoted the practice. 3 years ago I went in a few days before BF I went in to check out a 37" Olevia HDTV, mentioned the BF sale and he said buy it now, bring the receipt back on BF, and they would refund/rebuy no problem. I did and it worked without a hitch. No waiting in lines or fighting crowds. In my experience, MC is one of the best stores around in all respects. I suggest you call the store, talk to someone in TVs and ask them if they still operate the same way. |

In-Store ONLY! No PHONE or WEB ORDERS, please." so my guess is no. they put in on every ad so you won't get confused, they know how much we like to take advantage of apparent misleading. |

Finally, we see a true "Black Friday" ad! Green for OP. On the Acer, I've got an Acer Extensa w/ T2370 CPU that I bought this summer. Bumped the memory to 2GB and it runs Vista Home Premium SP1 just fine. I had to "optimize" it of course. Deleted the Norton and Acer "bloatware", turned off Vista UAC, unhid all the system icons, and got ride of the floating "clock panel". Also made the Windows control panel look like the "classic" control panel and tuned down Aero. That was about it. Have no complaints about the performance, but the battery life is so-so (2.5-3 hours Max) This new Acer lappy @ MC has the newer Intel mobil chipset, so it should run Vista just fine with 2GB RAM installed. I've got Linux (PC Linux OS) running on it, as well, but haven't bothered to fix the Atheros wireless problem. When they re-spin PC Linux OS for 2009, it will likely be fixed anyway. |

Coupons will be distributed to customers in the line prior to store opening, or in the order of entering the store, until gone. Coupons must be redeemed by 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008. The MSI Wind for $299 looks like a good deal, too. Sadly, no MC near me. |

so, limit one coupon per household means that we can only get one of the things listed in this ad? or is it limit one of each item |

It will be one of each I would imagine, starting from the front of the line, they'll ask what you're wanting and give you a single coupon for each separate item you ask for (no multiples of a single item). |
