Didn't realize it took only 11 seconds to be a d-bag. That's a record. Took me an hour to type this post

Good deal for the Transcend 8GB SDHC. Amazon also has same price but w/ shipping.

too bad Typing Tutor is not on sale...

I just got a Nikon D60 (MUCH better than D40) w 18-55 VR from them using rewards $, so no tax.
The relevant part here is they did a price match to AbesOfMaine at $550 and THEN I got the $50 off coupon applied anyway.
So net cost $500, less if you figure reward $ at a discount. You can try the same too. Might work with d40 also.
Do over the phone and be nice and don't rush them.

What's the scoop on these two Xerox color lasers? Good stuff? Good for photos? Seems like a smokin hot price on both of them.

thanks OP, i need a monitor. $ off coupons may sweeten the deal

Darn it, I just ordered the monitor, now I just paid $20 too much. $159 - $30 coupon. Could have been $140 - $25 coupon.

um..cancel your order?

refuse delivery...

how it this deal?

Canucklehead, what is the value added by your post other than wasting a space???

Thanks OP for great post. Could anybody post info or link to find the specific valid coupons referenced?

Thanks

They'll be on the product page cyber monday when sale starts, no searching required.

Your mileage will vary but we have 3 different model Xerox color laser printers at work. They use "wax" toner. Xerox helpfully makes the blocks in different shapes for different printers. Kind of a bummer that the wax is specific to the printer for no good reason. I have no idea if these use that wax though.

The wax blocks remind me of kid's toys.

nothing really interesting

DragoonThug said: nothing really interesting

ditto

you'd think with the glut of panels and the projected low sales they could give us a decent price on a 24" monitor

can anyone explain why Staples still does not accept their own gift cards on their website?

If you've never been around a color laser printer before, go see one in action before you spring for one. Most color lasers take forever to warm up and process the incoming data, and then they take forever to print because each page makes three passes throug the printing process (one for each primary color). And the ink/wax/whatever refills are usually expensive, too.

My take on this deal is: if you REALLY need color laser printing, then fine, go got it, but if you think the deal just looks interesting because of the price and you wonder if it might be fun to have a color laser printer, then pass.

Thanks OP - some good deals there

The acer monitor is a good deal I own one now and will buy another.

Isn't this the price it's been on their website for awhile now?

pjws3 said: can anyone explain why Staples still does not accept their own gift cards on their website?

I actually asked the same question to staple B&M, I was told that Staple B&M and staple.com are DIFFERENT companies.

pjws3 said: can anyone explain why Staples still does not accept their own gift cards on their website? There is a way to use Staples gift cards at their website. Make the purchase from Staples.com using the kiosk in a Staples brick and mortar store. Select the payment option "Pay at Register" and pay at the register with gift cards.

Not as easy as doing it from home, but if you have some gift cards to use up it's worth it.

are any of the GPS worth getting? any that stand out among the rest and at a hot price?

Thanks for the update but wished they had a deal on a laptop of two as we need one...

By the way, we have an Envision HDTV from last year and it works fine.

Sorry but misinformation needs to be corrected:

If you have never been around a SINGLE PASS color laser printer before go see one in action before you throw the bath out with the bath water. Don't know if the one in question specifically is single pass or not, nevertheless it is never good to throw two completely different things (single pass and multipass printers) into the same category.

Time required to process incoming data is directly related to a specific printer and personal network setup.

Cost, ok even if you buy super cheap generic ink at $3 a pop that will process 100 pages compare that to OEM toner carts that print 4000 pages for $70. Simple 2nd grade math will tell anyone that laser are cheaper to run. I suppose the whole business world just likes to waste money using laser instead of ink.

And I wont even try to guess how much ink/time is wasted in cleaning printer heads.

Should I go on, sheesh...

My guess is you saw a very cheap color laser and made generalizations about them all. Or you are confusing wax printers for color laser.

Bought this last year from Staples during their BF sale for $449. The picture quality is reasonable. It's a den TV (wii, non-HD DVR etc).

Looks like Staples does not carry any optical drive deals on either BF or CM. Oh well...

how is the 1tb ext drive? can we use 30 off 150 coupon on it?
