Saw this on bfads.net, bought one to avoid BF crowds. $135 with free shipping. Was going to buy at Sam's on BF for $148. This way no tax and no crowds.
I wanted to get a DS for my Son for his Birthday 12/15. He is turning 7. Are either of these a good deal for him, or should I wait to see what is available on BF.
We wanted to get him a 1-2 regular games and 1-2 educational type games.
Of these, which is better? Brain age or super Mario? I realize Brain age is educational, but not sure if it would be useful for a 7 year old.

Brain age isn't good for a 7 yo, imo. More of an adult puzzle kind of game.
There are tons and tons of good games for your son for the ds, though. Too many to list here. You will easily find all kinds of puzzle-type games that will keep his interest. Google "top 50 ds games" or "top 100 ds games" and start reading.
The mario bros. games are good for your son's age, imo. There are several good titles to pick from for the ds.

This deal is actually cheaper than the BF deals after tax.
I was going to order one of these from WalMart on Friday since it's the only thing that I have left to get. This saved me tax and shipping plus it's $2 bucks cheaper. Green for you

in montreal, canada this weekend. wanted to purchase DS in CAD dollars as it's approx 19% cheaper due to exchange rate. stumbled across toys r us deal in montreal where they knock of $30 when you buy a DS game. not a bad deal. total cost of player was $99.99 CAD (roughly $81 USD). i'll get some tax back at the border.
