20% was good enough for me plus the Fat Cash. I'm not going to get a credit card just for that. Thanks for the heads up. |

This is what I did - Step 1. I applied the card through SonyCards, and after giving all the details, got a confirmation page with the card number, 3 digit CVS number and the expiration date. Step 2. Went to the Dell site, and ordered the PS3 using this card number and 20% coupon code. Got a confirmation email from Dell saying the product will be shipped on 12/15 with Dell purchase ID. Now I will call Sony and see if I can get the $150 off deal since this is my first purchase using the PlayStation card. I will post an update after that. |

When Dell cancels all these playstations like they did the Wii Fits they sold us the other day, I say we march on Dell HQ with torches in classic unruly mob tradition. hmmm, I probably deserve red just for potentially throwing the black cat on the deal... |

I called the 877 number to get the card expedited but no luck because they say it's still pending even though it's been approved. So i should wait then ? hopefully the code still valid by the time i get the card. |

I just got accepted for the credit card although I did not receive the credit card number or any other details. I'll call them tomorrow, Saturday, and hope they are open and hope they can give me a card number and such to buy the ps3 on Dell.com. Although i'm more confident this deal will end before i can cash in on the 20% off. Keep the news coming... |

I called the Sony Rewards customer service. But their office is closed now Will try again tomorrow. Has anyone got a chance to speak to them about getting the 150 off even if you buy from Dell for a discounted price? |

So I just called the phone # on the PlayStation credit card (applied a week or two ago and received card already), and they told me the $150 back is ONLY if you buy from the Sony website. I asked if I could buy from the Dell website and she said no. I do know that there are two different links to sign up for the Sony credit card, and I was sure to sign up for the one that allowed you to buy from any authorized Sony retailer. So I don't know what's going on now. |

I called Sony Rewards earlier today regarding whether buying the PS3 at a reduced price will invalidate the $150 CashBack. I was told buying it at anything less than the $399 MSRP will not get the CashBack. Now I'm confused, I thought someone on this thread said it worked for him/her?? Did the OP actually get the $150 CashBack? |

The offer as it's currently posted does not stipulate a minimum value that must be spent on the PS3. If someone is telling you otherwise they need to tell you where you can read this information online.

Fine Print for (1) said:PlayStation Card is issued by Chase Bank USA, NA, and is subject to credit approval. To qualify for this offer, you must apply for your new PlayStation Card by 12/31/08. In some instances an application may require additional processing, in which case instant approval will be unavailable. To qualify for the $150 card credit, you MUST purchase a PLAYSTATION 3 system with your new PlayStation Card (*PS3 Purchase*) at an authorized Sony retailer such as SonyRewards.com, Sony Style store and SonyStyle.com. Complete instructions will be sent upon your approval for the PlayStation Card via email. To receive card credit, your account must be opened by 01/31/2009 and PS3 Purchase must be made by 03/07/2009. Card credit will be posted to your PlayStation Card Statement within 8-12 weeks after PS3 Purchase. By that time Chase will already have your money and you'll won't be able to return to Dell either. For this offer this is how it works. I know with previous offers they immediately took off the $150 from the price when you checked out of the SonyStyle store online so you didn't have to wait. However in this case Sony is not necessarily going to be the retailer so they have no way to control or discount the amount paid to purchase the console. |

Sounds like your offer is a previous one with different terms. Be sure you read your own fine print and find out exactly what you need to do, although going off of what you've posted already I think you might have to go through SonyStyle.com and the Dell offer may not be eligible for you. As I recall, the "instant discount" was only at SonyStyle.com as stated in your email. |
