Card go approved right away for me and instructions told me to to select reedem now. So it took me to sonyrewards where I ordered my PS3. Weird how they use points rather than dollars where 39999 pts equals 399.99. Anyways, they immedialtely credited me 150 bringing it down to 24999 points minus 50 points (free)=24949, 0 points tax, 3401 points shipping, totaling 28350 points. So they will charge 283.50 to my card when it's shipped. |

Seems like alot of confusion. Different people are remembering different terms on different offers. I did the SonyStyle $150 credit card offer and purchased my PS3 at WalMart and received a $150 credit to my account within 10 days back in November. There has been an offer to buy the card at Sonyrewards and get a $150 instant discount, but you had to pay shipping. The newest offer I'm seeing on SonyStyle says buy it as authorized dealer and get $150 off the terms say nothing about required minimum cost for the PS3. (This is the same offer I took advantage of when I bought mine at WalMart. The bottom line is whichever link you look at read the terms carefully and if you think it will work jump on it. Don't get confused about the minimum $399 statement that is not a term, it is just an information statement letting you know how they came to $249 price. The terms of offer are below that statement. Also the whole bonus offer in email is reffering to BOGO free blu-ray disc. About the CC instant or not. When I did the Sonyrewards link offer I did not get instant approval, but when my wife did the SonyStyle.com offer we got instant approval and got the CC #, the 3 digit # on back of card and the experation date which was everything that was needed to do the Dell offer. I would do screen shots to get your back |

The micro print on the Playstation Visa card link states that it's valid towards the $399 MSRP price. The $150 rewards comes from Sony. I am waiting for a call back from Sony Rebate support to see if the $150 can be applied to the discounted $320 from Dell. The support person said he is not sure and he had few calls on this today and he is waiting to hear back from Sony HQ regarding this. Not going to know about it until Monday. |

I ordered the Sony Play Station card from the link the op provided. I was instantly approved with no number, but it said it be 7- 10 days before I received my card. I called the 771 # posted above. Going through option #1 in prompts it took me to CHASE CC. I had to explain which card I ordered. After giving my SS#, they confirmed I was approved. The nice lady told me 7-10 days to get my kit. I asked her if I lost my card, I had to wait 7-10 days for a new card? She said she could do a emergency card replacement with priority mail. 1-2 days. Can some one tell me what Ihave to do to registration for the rewards when I get the card on Mon / Tuesday? I want stress Operator on #800 was nice. I was not an A##hole. Explained I wanted to order a Christmas present for the kids. Don't call and screw this up for others. |

Sony might not give the $ 150.00 credit if you buy it from other vendor, per Sony csr. I cancelled my card, cc very rude. |

megafreebee said:The micro print on the Playstation Visa card link states that it's valid towards the $399 MSRP price. No, that isn't what it says at all. It says that if you buy a PS3 at $399, it will only end up costing you $249 because of a $150 rebate. The only way they can show an after rebate price is to also include the math that got them there. If they didn't say "based on a $399 PS3", then some idiot would pay $449 for a PS3 and want to know why they didn't get $200 back to make it $249. In no way does it imply that you are obligated to pay that price. Feel free to pay more or less as you see fit. |

Excellent deal, thanks OP. I picked up the Sony rewards card earlier hoping to use the previous Amazon and Dell deals that expired before the card arrived, this deal is even better. Is it just me or is Dell's site getting hammered right now? It's taking 5+ minutes to load each page just to try and find the PS3 via the FW fat cash link... |

It does not I'm afraid, the 60 GB one is the older gen PS3 that does support PS2 games. Plus (If you can find it) the MGS4 80GB Bundle has software BC (e.g. not all but most PS2 games). |

Yeah, I read that in and out and thought the same thing. But I think the people are right. It starts out saying Get a Playstation 3 as low as $249.99* Then the asterisk next the to price points you to the bottom, where it says Reduced pricing [the $249.99] based on purchase of PS3 at the $399 MSRP for 80GB ... No where does it say you can't get it for lower than $249.99, all it says is you can get it as low as This is from the advertised link. Read the fine print for further details. But, people are confirming the fine print does not go against the advertisement. I think it is getting clearer. You have to buy from SonyRewards.com. I saw the following fine print on sonyrewards.com now. There is no mention of "authorized Sony Retailer". I think they modified the fine print recently as I clearly remember seeing the "authorized retailer" before. "If you are approved, you will be able to make a one-time purchase at SonyRewards.com only, with up to a maximum line of credit of $5,000. Just return to this page, after approval and click "redeem now". Additional purchases with this account cannot be made until your card is received in the mail. This promotional offer is available for new PlayStation Card account holders only; existing PlayStation Card account holders or accounts are not eligible" |

I read through the post as I had planned on just doing the 283 deal from Sonyrewards anyway. 3. To qualify for the Bonus Offer, you must be new approved PlayStation Card member, through this promotion only, and purchased a PlayStation 3 system at SonyStyle.com or by calling 877-865-Sony (7669) with your new PlayStation Card. An email with complete instructions will be sent to qualified PlayStation Card members. Limited availability. Only while supplies last. Bonus offer. Play the hottest games and watch Blu-ray Disc™ high-def moves only on the PS3™ system. For a limited time, buy one Blu-ray Disc movie, get another one free3. Offer expires December 31, 2008. 1. PlayStation Card is issued by Chase Bank USA, NA, and is subject to credit approval. To qualify for this offer, you must apply for your new PlayStation Card by 12/31/08. In some instances an application may require additional processing, in which case instant approval will be unavailable. To qualify for the $150 card credit, you MUST purchase a PLAYSTATION 3 system with your new PlayStation Card ("PS3 Purchase") at an authorized Sony retailer such as Sony Style store and SonyStyle.com. Complete instructions will be sent upon your approval for the PlayStation Card via email. To receive card credit, your account must be opened by 01/31/2009 and PS3 Purchase must be made by 03/07/2009. Card credit will be posted to your PlayStation Card Statement within 8-12 weeks after PS3 Purchase. This promotional offer is available to new PlayStation Card accounts only and only one $150 card credit may be earned per PlayStation Card account. Existing PlayStation Card account holders or accounts are not eligible. When it says such as Sonyrewards or SonyStyle.com it implys there are others that do apply. The authorized dealers show Dell as one and I think we are good here. The only thing that may give them an out is.. 2. Certain terms, conditions and exclusions apply. That could mean almost anything. It would be nice to hear someone from Sony customer service saying yes it will work or no we will not honor that even though it does meet all the requirements. I am going to hold off for now but will monitor closely. |
