Dell Home has the Playstation 3 console (80GB) back for $400 - 20% code ZCFLR1BTX5Q1D$ [Exp 12/17] = $320 with free shipping. Includes one Dual shock Wireless Controller for PS3.

Apply the Playstaion Card here and get $150 credit on PS3. P.S. Dell is the SONY authorized dealer and eligible for the $150 credit.

Don't forget the 3% fat cash

The final price is 400-80(20% coupon)-150(CC credit)-12(3% fat cash)+tax =~185. It's really a hot deal.

If you're having trouble finding the correct promo code applied to your account, try calling 1-866-556-7669! They've helped a few readers and hopefully you can get your rebate form directly from them. Just calmly explain you've been getting workarounds from many CSRs and thank them if they're able to help you. If not, complain and make a lot of noise until they fix your rebate.

DEAD FOR FOLKS WHO DID NOT APPLY/GET ACCEPTED FOR THE CARD BEFORE 12/31/2008!!!!! Sony HAS ENDED THE PROMOTION FOR NEW USERS FOR NOW!!!!!!!!

For folks who are buying this from Dell ... After you purchase PS3
1) wait for an email from Sony to register your card at Sony Rewards. After you register, you will get another saying "You are now eligible for $150 rebate"
2) Finally 8-10 days after purchase you will see a rebate form under your account. You need to fill and Submit that online and also mail it with Dell Invoice.

LATEST CODE:P8KJNT4LV44T9S

YES, FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME, Dell IS AN AUTHORIZED RETAILER AND THIS DEAL IS VALID AT Dell PROVIDED YOU REGISTERED VIA LINK 1 BELOW. HERE IS AN EXPLANATION DIRECTLY FROM SONY

How I verified my deal:
I called Points/Rewards Redemption department at 1-877-717-7669. (Press #2 then #5). Explained the predicament to the CSR (Bernard). He was concerned that I signed up at the wrong site (I'm assuming Link#2) but he looked at the SourceID of the credit card and said the rebate was valid via Dell.com. I asked him about the coupons and said they care nothing about promotions running on Dell.com and said nothing about minimums.

He told me to register at sonyrewards.com to get a rebate form.

BACK ALIVE WITH 15% COUPON: : ?3WZ2B199QH53J (Exp 12/19).

Credit goes to asem111

Still working with thie 15% Dell Coupon: P8KJNT4LV44T9S (Exp unknown)
Credit goes to radrzr

Granted it is not as sexy as the 20% off, it'll get the job done. And here is another quick tip to save some more bucks. Buy a Dell Gift Card off of eBay. They are usually 25% off face value. I just picked up a $100 giftcard for $75 - $6 live cash back (*NOTE: Apparently the $6 CashBack is iffy.. thanks askew1, regardless $25 off still makes this deal sweeter). So my total cost for a PS3 was as follows:

$399 - $60 (coupon) - $31 (savings off of eBay) - $150 Credit - $11.92 FW CashBack $27.62 tax = $173.76

If anyone is interested, I purchased my giftcard from dariuszt333 who sent the gc within 5 minutes which is good since I bet the coupon may expire soon. The gc went through my order with no problem.

WORD OF CAUTION ABOUT Dell GIFT CARDS. You could only use 1 per order, so there is no point in buying multiple giftcards. You can combine giftcards but you would have to have the physical card scanned to Dell customer service.

Copy and paste everything from the coupon code, including the $ sign, otherwise it won't work.

Note: There's a Far Cry bundle ... Dell removes the instant saving when you also try to use the coupon, waste of time.

Please be aware there are actually two links for the Playstation Card. They are different. This deal works only for Link1

Link1

a. Apply for the Playstation credit card.

b. Receive your Playstation credit card by mail.

c. Activate your card by calling the number on the card.

d. Purchase a PS3 at any authorized retailer.
Note: You can purchase PS3 at any authorized retailer even at a discounted price, but I guess it should be at least $299 or more

e. Register your card here.
Note: It could take up to 48 hours for your card to be recorded in their database after card activation

"here" WHERE? Link?>>HERE<<

f. Upon registration, you will receive a MIR form by email for a $150 statement credit.
Note: It could take up to 48 hours to receive the MIR form

Finallly found a number for sonyrewards.com
This is the same number on their page via the "Contact Us" link.
If you still have questions, contact us at 1-866-556-Sony (7669) between the hours of 8:00 am and midnight ET, seven days a week.

g. Complete/Submit the rebate form and wait for 8-12 weeks to get the $150 statement credit.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Link2

a. Apply for the Playstation credit card.

b. Receive the credit card number and CVV2 number upon approval.

b. Purchase a PS3 (using the account and CVV2 numbers) at sonyrewards/SonyStyle and get $150 instant credit.

c. You will also be eligible for a B1G1 Blu-Ray movie

Given the fact that this deal is expiring pretty soon, you'd be best of calling Customer Service and asking them to rush out your card.

Excellent Deal OP. Have you tried it?

alert mods

They also have the Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Limited Edition Bundle, which starts at $499 and has a 160 GB HDD.

Also note that it takes awhile to get the CC (I don't think this is the instant one...) - I signed up for mine around a week ago and still haven't gotten it in the mail.

and why post twice

alert mods

Not really a repost considering the original post was on 12/2 and was just updated with this coupon code and details.

Problem with the deal is that when you apply for the Playstation Credit card you get an instant decision approval, but the card won't arrive for 2 weeks and the offer ends on 12/31/2008.

Thanks pulled the trigger! Green I tried the 15% / 5% last night and they were both dead.

I've heard of this deal too but if you read the tearms. The Sony PS3 150 CB deal is good if you open the account by 1/31/09 and purchasse by 3/3/09. Anyone read it and feel differently? Curious if I am correct.

jjaa managed to get this deal entered twice (#887121 & #887117), so it is a true repost (of the "whoops" kind, not "did not bother to look for it" kind). Whoops.

As for the deal - I took advantage of it a year or so ago, but bought directly from the SonyStyle.com site. I got the 60gb version as they were phasing them out. My final cost was $350, which was a really good price at the time, but I am very jealous of this price. The $150 Cash Back was given to me in the form of a credit to my SonyStyle card account, and hit before my first payment was due.

alert mods

I read it the same. your account must be opened by 01/31/2009 and PS3 Purchase must be made by 03/07/2009

I want to know if can buy the drake's addition bundle. rather get 160 gb version.

The card information is provided when you're approved, so be sure to print!

alert mods

The card info wasn't provided to me when I was approved. Just said I would receive the card within 2 weeks. And the OPs link showed 12/31/08 expiration

Here's link for current offer Sony Offer

alert mods

I posted for the first time and it didn't show up in forum after 10min. I thought there was sth wrong and so I reposted it.

Called Sony Style and was told that 160 GB is eligible.

alert mods

Applied for the card 5 days ago. Was supposed to get instant approval. Told I would receive notification w/i 30 days. Received letter today from Chase wanting a copy of a utility bill to prove residence. Bunch of crap!! (I have A+ credit and stable address)Bummer no Playstation for christmas.

The Dell post takes 20% off their original price of 459.98 not their discounted price of 399.99. 459.98- 92.00 = 367.98. whoops I selected the bundle with far cry included!! You are correct

alert mods

it says you have to buy it as MSRP of 399.....in the fine print.

REDUCED pricing based on purchase at MSRP.....are you sure they wont screw you on the Dell deal.

Not true. I got $399.99 - $80 = $319.99!

alert mods

Jumped on it now incase I don't get my Sony CC in time. Gonna use the Sony card on another deal, or this one again if I can if I can get it in time.
