No idea - but the kicker is the additional 300 min card . . .

In for one. FWIW, tried the code on other phones, it worked. Great deal! Thanks, OP!

I called customer service and was told that there is no expiration date for activation. You can take as long as you need to activate the service, but they will not sell you another phone if you didn't activate the first one. Good deal, thanks OP!!!

Nope you can't do that.
Net10 and Tracfone sims can't be used in any other phones except the ones they come in, they are exclusive to the phone they come in.
Thanks OP, will work to temporarily lower my tmobile prepaid usage cost. As mentioned already, the shipping cost goes away at the final checkout (though there is no indication of it anywhere). Here is what is on my final checkout page: • Nokia 1600 o $30.00 • Subtotal (before discounts, freight, and tax): • $30.00 • Discount Total: • - $8.00 • Freight Total: • + $4.95 • Freight Discount Total: • - $4.95 • Tax* • + $1.59 • Grand Total: • $23.5
Got charged with tax, but still under 4c/min, a great deal. Regarding the carrier they use, it seems like they started with GSM but lately giving out CDMA phones (verizon), however since nokia 1600 seems like a GSM phone, I guess your coverage depends really on how good AT&T service is at your place).
Excellent deal! I have a phone that I use just for texting...this would be a nice addition for calls.
But I wonder, if you add the 300 minute card to the phone right away, will it give you 120 days before you need to refill or only 60? I got some free cards for my ATT GoPhone, a $15+30 days and $25+90 days, and it didn't give me 120 days, just 90.
That may be the case here. Anyone know? Either way, still Hot!

For the hell of it I put 45206 in as the zip code I wanted to purchase from and plenty of phones came up....
Net10 isn't the actual carrier what carrier you end up with depends on the area you live in and the zip you give them when they ask where the phone will be used. If you look at the address bar of your browser you see CO, GSM4 or something else like I've listed below, and it will tell you what carrier Net10/Tracfone uses in your area. This info is from the quick summary in jimatesCurrent Tracfone Bundles / Retail Tracfone Deals / Tracfone Discussions Thread.
CO = CDMA
GSM4 = AT&T
GSM5 = TMobile
GSM5AT = TMobile with AT&T
COGSM4 = CDMA & AT&T
COGSM5 = CDMA & TMobile

The link in the OP has a zip code of 95831 and a market code of GSM5AT already applied.
If this is not your zip code and market code, then this phone/SIM combination will NOT work in your area.
It is best, when purchasing the reconditioned Nokia 1600 phone bundle, to use a simpler link such as http://net10.com/store_manager.jsp?task=buyphone and enter your own information so that the correct SIM card will be sent for your market.
If you add minutes to this phone before the expiration does anyone know if it extends the time? Also is there a limit on these phones? I need one for my wife.
You might be better off with T-Mobile, paying for the $100 / 1000 minute card which is good for a year and qualifies you as Gold Rewards. Anytime after that when you add minutes, they are good for one year from the day that you add them. So just add the $10 / 30 minute card, and your annual cost will be $10. You can usually get a phone very cheap from their website, and the $100 cards cost $88 if you search FW and follow the instructions / discount codes.
