Powerful icon editor, small graphics editor, cursor maker
AWicons Pro is a special application that lets you work with small graphics – icons, cursors, buttons, interface and website components, and so on. Working with AWicons Pro generates superb results!
While AWicons Pro is geared toward professional use by web designers, programmers and digital artists, any advanced user with basic knowledge of working with digital images can use the program to its full potential. The program has a number of features that aren’t present in any competing software titles, such as anti-aliasing not only for 32-bit images, but 24-bit (true color) and 256-color ones too. The other significant advantage is a built-in option to load image list and work with each icon individually, saving altered icon(s) back into a single (original) file (bmp, gif, png).

Personally, I think it's a great program. I don't see why people are giving it red. It's FREE, and if you're not interested, just move on.

Thanks OP.
At the end of the installation process for AWicons Pro, a message was displayed saying to the effect that the software is activated.
Notice that, as indicated in the readme.txt file, one need to register the software. However, it is not clear how to do it.
Now, having been activated is not the same as been registered since the latter requires using the name and code as described in the readme.txt!
Here is how to register:
1) open the AWicons Pro 10.0 window,
2) click the Help button to get the pull down and select the last entry "About"
3) click the entry which says "Registration"
4) enter the Name and the Code as shown in readme.txt
5) click the button to the right side of the <user key>
6) a message from AWicons Pro appears saying: "Registration key accepted. Thank you for your purchase!"
7) click the OK button in that window. You are done!

If any of you are interested in installing programs from giveawayoftheday, but couldnt do it at the moment (i.e. away from your own pc, or just want to save the program to install later), here's how you can install it after their expiration:
1. download process explorer (from microsoft technet) 2. start the downloaded setup.exe from giveawayoftheday 3. start proexp 4. start installing the giveawayoftheday as you would normally 5. CRITICAL: before it finishes, in the proexp find the setup.exe, right click it, and select suspend. this should pause the installation 6. right click whatever file is below setup.exe, and click find target. this should take you to your temp folder 7. find whatever that file is called, usually a .tmp file, copy and paste it somewhere else 8. you can either finish installing or cancel the regular installation, that doesnt matter anymore 9. rename that .tmp file to .exe, and it should become a normal executable 10. now you should be able to install the software from that executable whenevers, without giveawayoftheday checking for the validity
Basically giveawayoftheday puts a wrapper around a normal executable installation package, and checks for the expiration before it actually install the software. what i did was to extract the actual installation file from the wrapper.
