What's with the precipitous drop of the QuickBooks prices this year (these are unheard of prices which are usually kept stable by Intuit in previous years), and why no comparable drop in prices of their personal accounting software Quicken???

That is JR Music you need to click on the add to cart link on the right hand side under more buying choices now.
The shipping time changed to 1 to 3 weeks so Amazon put JR first

I don't use any of the online account reconciliation features in QB, so I can't comment on those features being turned into junk. According to Intuit, they have fixed most of the things they made worse in 2009 by releasing a service pack. For day-to-day business accounting, I find it much superior to QB 2006 Pro. Keyboard navigation works much more intuitively, and the UI is generally better IMO. Just my $.02.

FYI most of the "problems" with Intuit's QB2009 were on the online eCommerce side at Intuit's facilities and have nothing to do with the actual QB2009 product installed on your PC. As noted above most of these problems have been fixed by Intuit. However those early QB2009 online issues have destroyed the rep of QB2009 product. According to the QB forums Intuit is going to start offering QB2009 free to registered users of QB 2007 or later. Hence the new super low pricing for QB2009 now starting to appear.
BTW OP those giving this thread red are eBayers who are POed you posted the deal and not actual users of the product.
Other than a few niggles here and there, QB Pro 2009 is perfectly fine. A bit slow to launch initially. I have at least a dozen business users using 1-5 user versions with few problems. Well worth $30.

I had QB '08 and got QB '09 FAR from Staples earlier this year and wished I never upgraded. If you do any banking online (I do thru BofA), '09 is horrible - it just waste so much time. I used to go on everyday for my business account but no longer do so because it takes so much time plus the worst thing is the updates didn't help so doesn't look like this POS will get fixed. I'd pay to be able to go back to '08 but can't since moving to '09 requires upgrading your database.

using the 2 coupons, 1 at a time, listed at the top of this thread.
However is getting another $29.99 QB2009 worth losing your Amazon.com account forever? Lately, Amazon has been cracking down on this type of short term multi-order behavior by closing accounts.
OP, this is a wonderful find. I have a couple of questions however about the two different codes you posted . . .
Firstly, do these codes apply to _any_ QB product, or just QBP?
And generally for anyone who might happen to know (circa the date of this post heh) — has anyone found a good deal on one of the Intuit bundles? I'm asking because I'd like to get

Thanks for any deals you find friends. I seem to have always missed the latest bundle (or it was deficient, or just too expensive).

At least one local retailer has offered the last 3 titles you listed free with QB Pro 2009 @ $99 since the beginning of the year. However, I would just buy QB Pro 2009 @ $29.99 through this deal and then buy the other three off eBay if you really want them. Right now eBay is overwhelmed with those 3 titles and you can get them dirt cheap. You should EASILY be able to get all 3 of the QB Pro 2009 supplemental titles you listed shipped for < $30 making your totoal investment $60 or less.

In that case, wouldn't it just make sense for people to buy the 2008 version instead of the 2009 version?
Just picked one up (also an $8 food trusser, along for the free shipping heh). Interesting, OP, I didn't have to enter any code — the $20 discount just automatically showed up.
Yup, my shipping notice came just this morning. Hunted down Website Creator on FeeBay for $9.99 BIN shipped, and now just need those pesky "Learning" and "Credit Card" titles and . . . oh fun: Accounting phhhhhhlllltt! lol
