Corsair rebates are fast, and their customer service is excellent. That said, I've had a couple of these drives go bad within a month or two of purchase. Corsair is quick about replacing them (they send you a brand new one in retail packaging) but it is does lower my confidence in using them.
there are many here who say these are fast, i have one of these. I have it formated to fat32. It took over 1 and half hour to copy 3.5gb (approx 11,000+ files) to it. I guess they have fast and slow chips in them, it depends on ones luck.

For me it takes around approx. 5 mins to copy 4gbs.

Tempting. I just ordered the $7.99 (AR) 8 GB version a day ago. Too bad these drives appear to be on the slow side.

You are lucky! You must have gotten the only fast one of these that were made. Corsair replaced this twice because they were so slow, and all three have been turtle slow. I downloaded the same files on my Sandisk Cruzer Micro as I did with this drive from the same pc and it wasn't even close. The Cruzer Micro blew this Corsair drive out of the water, and I don't even consider the Cruzer Micro that fast.
Good price but few cons: 1) ugly looking 2) big and fat (if U put this one in, forget about putting another USB device/cable next to it) 3) slow (compared to other brand)
Personally I prefer the OCZ Diesel (28.99-10.00=18.99) http://www.Newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227333
