Here is the message I've been getting for the last few weeks and my credit card is good. I've tried other cards and browsers to no avail.-

What's the best way to transfer remaining minutes from one expiring phone to a newly purchased, unactivated phone that has 300 activation minutes + 300 minute card? I don't care about keeping my number or my expiring phone since I use GoogleVoice, I just care about keeping the minutes and extending the activation time another several months. [from what I gather from other posts, the answer is to active the new phone online, during which I select to transfer from my old phone]

Is there a way to keep my old phone but have the 300 activation minutes from the new phone put onto the old phone?

OP/mods, would be great to have info like my situation and other common situations (like those wanting to keep their #) put on the first page of this good but massive thread)

Just had some sort of glitch when transferring from my old Motorola Net10
phone to my new lg600 phone. Not sure why, but at the end it asked if I wanted to transfer my 1100 minutes I had left...I said yes of course, even though I had run the old phone to 0 minutes. Sure enough, when the phone finally kicked in I got the 300 minutes for activating the phone, 300 from a card, and the 1100 minutes I supposedly transferred! Gotta love that!

A simmilar thing just happened to me.I purchased a (refurbished) LG 600 phone from Net 10
With a 300 minute card and 300 minutes in the phone upon activation - but when I activated the phone( using the automated-phone service)I received 800 minutes I think the reason is that the previous owner of that serial number must have had minutes left before the number was de-activated and now that the phone is re-activated it brings back the minutes.

Hello everyone, this is my first post. Anyone interested in purchasing a Net10
300 minute prepaid card? Please message me if so.

I'm really not too worried about it. I highly doubt they will. It has already been a couple weeks now. What sucks though is that for some reason I lost my voicemail when transferring to this phone...and after waiting 1 hour and 10 minutes (being quoted 10) I called back and was quoted 5 and it took 7 to get someone. Had them try to fix it for 40 minutes, said it should work in a couple of days but then told me to hold on and connected me to another department that should be able to set it up, and should only be 3 minutes. After waiting another 20 minutes on hold, I hung up. Still no voice mail that is working...guess I deserve the free minutes.

Apparently it doesn't work because I "upgraded" my service? Not sure what they means...

Are there any good active Net 10
specials going on right now? If so please share the various promotions, phones, etc.

Sell on eBay, I sold dozens to get free service.
The sold refill cards just covered the $22 cost of all.

Does Net 10
ever forget who you are? Its been a year and I still cant order a new phone from them after ordering 50

Tried this deal today. They still have the $30 phone that comes down to $22.

They also have a $20 version that includes 300 minutes + 200 minute card. You can get 2 of them for $40. Then take off $8.

It ends up being $32 for two phones with 300 minutes included on each + 2x 200 minute cards, plus free accessory kit

That ends up being 3.2 cents/minute..

vs. $22/600 minutes, is 3.6 cents/minute.

Also.. ends up being $32/6 months $5.3/month vs $22/4 months=$5.5/month.

I'm getting this for my son, because he has some events where I need to leave him and want him to be able to get in touch with us for emergencies.

I'm assuming the best way to do this..is to set up google voice, when he changes phones..
or can I do something like this?

Phone#1, after 2 months (before it expires or after), add 1 200 minute card,
After another month, add 2nd 200 minute card.
So after 4 months (before or after the end of the 4 month period?), transfer # to new phone? lose any time/minutes
or transfer minutes and # to new phone.. This won't be a problem, because the minutes being transferred are from the card.. not the original 300..right?

Sorry.. a little confused.. just want to do the easiest thing without possibility of the phone getting locked.

So.. I guess it is a better deal if I buy the phone + 300 minute card like the rest of you.. then sell the 300 minute card.. Then the per minute is basically 0.

So with multiple phones.. Is the best thing to transfer the phone # at the end of 60 days.. or just use google voice?

I just get a new number when using a new phone....
House phone rings on cell, and all know to call me at that number (house phone) ....regardless of the number I call them on.

For me, Google Voice is the easiest route to take. All but 1 of the 6 times I've attempted to transfer minutes and number to a new phone have required spending over an hour speaking with tech support only to end up being sent a new SIM card. That's 5 days you'll be without service. I no longer bother trying to "save" minutes and instead register a new phone every 60 days. With Google Voice, it's not worth the hassle of trying to save a few pennies just to transfer unused minutes.

What about just porting the number to a new phone..so the number stays the same..every 60 days... is that worthwhile, or is googlevoice still a better option?

Porting takes days to complete.
The old number must stay in service till completed.
They will give you a temp number till completed.

I've never done a number port but there's your answer. Even porting the number is a hassle. ANYTHING involving speaking with customer service is a hassle. Google Voice all the way.

Actually. Iv'e found that if you activate a new phone of 300mins and when you get down to say 150 mins. - you then add the 300 mins card to a new total of 450 mins. - then wait a couple of days - then somehow the whole 450 mins is considered one unified mass of 450 mins. and then the whole total can now be transfered to another phone!! ( even the original 300 none transferable mins.)

How did you do this? was it on the phone with a tech? - I just tried to register a new phone and transfer tha mins to my old phone, and he said he can't transfer "free" minutes from the new to old...just from the old to the new (ie:add any remaining minutes)is there a trick to this? or do I always seem to get dense service reps -
(which 9 of 10 times seems to be my experience) Any tips? - Thanks!

Like I said before -You must first add minutes to the phone and then you can transfer all of them !

Anyone ever have a problem with the refill cards from Net10
? I sold this guy a card about a month ago from a phone I purchased. He is telling me that his service got turned off because a credit card used to purchase airtime was rejected. He said he purchased cards from me and one other person.

Hey, They just changed their deals and destroyed this great one. No more 60 days + card!

If I bought some phones from before but have not activated them, do they still come with 300 minutes/60 days?

I still have them form about 15 months ago, activated 2 in the last week, they got the 300 minutes as advertised.

I use 1 every 5 weeks, so I have done 3 more since my October 21 post.
2 went as they should, the other, (as has happened before) I had to call,
and enter a seemingly endless series of numbers in the phone to get it to work....and have the 300 minutes.
Phone got its number but showed no minutes and could not e used at first....
