Just called the phone number listed on the rebate form 1-888-463-4933 Spoke to a Virginia Harper who said if you sent in a rebate receipt, the person did not qualify for the rebate. I asked if I could resubmit my rebate with a fax or a scan of my original receipt and she said it's not eligible. What else can I do? (I'm probably going to ask the store where I purchased the chocolate and ask if they could help me. just in case: http://www.bbb.org/atlanta/business-reviews/fulfillment-services/brandmovers-inc-in-atlanta-ga-23000225 okay, froome reason i might've gotten the link wrong...sorry) |

I called and was told that there was no record of my submission. When I told the agent that I had submitted the rebate receipt I was told that the regular receipt was required, and that's why I was denied (I guess when you are denied the expunge your record). I'm not going to take it to the BBB for $3.99, but I did send a note to Ghiradelli on their website explaining that I felt like I was taken advantage of. Maybe they'll make good, but I doubt it. At least it's an indication to Ghiradelli that the company they are using for rebate fulfillment is making unhappy customers. |

my experience is that Staples B&M will make good on the rebate. I think its pretty slimy of rebate processor. It says you have to send in the form. Staples clerks attach the rebate receipt to form and it gets denied? How many people went for "free" chocolate and won't remember to chase down the rebate. ETA I just shot off an email to Staples. Maybe if enough folks complain they'll pressure the rebate house to honor their rebate receipts. |

I just called and was told by Virginia a Staple rebate recipt is not an original store recipt. She said a Staple rebate recipt is only good for staple products not Ghirardelli product. I offered to resubmit the original recipt but Ghirardelli would not accept it. I have been doing rebates many years and have never heard such ridiculous reasons for denying a rebate. I am going to email Ghirardelli and also call 1-800-877-9338 ( given by Virginia ) to complain. I will never buy Ghirardelli products again. |

(credit card, Staples number) They are just finding excuses not to pay because of the high number of submissions. I haven't checked the status on mine but if they know what's good for them, they better pay. I will call them everyday until I get my rebate. Don't waste your time with the BBB. I think this matter could be resolved if we bring it to the attention of Staples since they advertised it and they produced the rebate forms and the rebate receipt. |

We should not give this up, guys! Push it through Staples so that they realize one way or the other they need to pay up. Rebate receipt is as good as the original and is the reason that they call it as a rebate receipt. |

Since you already have this rebate receipt, why bother need the original one? So next time we need to ask for original receipt for every single items we purchase? |

For some other items on the same receipt that might turn out to need to be returned. (they might've been defective) Rebate receipts aren't valid for returns or credit. |

Assume you bought your candy on 6/27, you still have time to send in your 3.99 rebate. |

I got a postcard saying I did not include UPC, but I knew I did. I tried to call that 888 numbers many times today, but only got the machine. They told me to resubmit the missing UPC, but I only have the copy, original has been sent to them. Yes, this is a cheap lesson, will never do rebate like this one, too much hassel and time for 4 bucks. |
