How are the TeleAtlas maps on this unit? I never had much luck with them on my Mio. There were always things that were missing (missing streets or addresses that could never be found.)

Hello, here the email I got from amazom on there price change....
Amazon doesn't offer a price match guarantee. We do spend considerable effort to ensure our prices are the lowest in the market at any time. Because the market is constantly changing and we strive to offer the lowest price, you'll see some fluctuations in our prices over time.
crazypalooza said: if u want them to pm, you need to call them. if they still refuse, tell them you are going to return it (and rebuy it)My son just did this with a DVD, Amazon's response was no PM, re-order and do a return for the original purchase. Seems to be strange economics by Amazon, PM was about $4, has to cost them more to do a return.
isn't this a dup post http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/925437

Anybody else have the flashing red "X" problem. I connected the tomtom to my macbook, let it run through the install & updates but after restarting the tomtom I get a flashing red X. Went to their support Web site and found one issue which the fix was "Turn off spotlight for the tomtom memory" Did that to no avail. Next tech article was delete the contents of the tomtom along with the files saved on my MacBook then do a reinstall, still nothing.
Last step was to check tomtom memory with disk utility, which, of course, found no errors.
Currently on hold for tomtom support, so far it's been 7 minutes...

It was the same thing last year at this time. All the returns from the Christmas shopping season have gone through the refurbishment process, and are now being unloaded on the market. It will probably happen again this time next year...

The 130S refurb came with a flyer stating it has a one year warranty. Legal mumbo jumbo that it 'supersedes' others mentioned. Not sure when it got bumped up, but the direct refurbs from tomtom's site continues to list 6 months in their description. Better hold on tight to that piece of paper if you have it. YMMV?
Mine didn't come with the latest map (didn't expect it to), so I appreciate the extra coverage time. You can never be too sure with refurbs.
i decided to go with the S model because of the text-to-speech but it seems this only works with the female computer voice....i would have liked to use the male voice because i think it's easier to hear, but it is not a computer voice and therefore the text-to-speech doesn't work
Should have jumped on the 130S @ $61.98 yesterday, price is back up to $67.98 currently

I just pulled the trigger on this tomtom One 130 GPS.
I noticed the 20$ rebate deal also applies to the supposedly new, NOT-refurbished tomtom 130 being sold by Amazon for the same price of 69.99$. So for 50$ and guaranteed map update: Amazon Link
Edit, nevermind, the link to the "new" appears to be the same refurbed model.

thanks leenga, pulled the trigger at $79.99 - $20 rebate. Hoping r=price drops another $10 and Amazon will price match.
