You can convert your account to a premier account any time after creating your original account.
I personally signed up as a family plan with my wife, then a few months later called them up and had it turned to a premier account so I could get 11% off my monthly bill.
Anyone know if I can cancel my current contract and then sign a new contract to get this?
Btw, I did get the CB on an upgrade I did for the iPhone 3G few months ago.

If my line is already premier, is there any way to do the Cash Back? When I login to the regular att site, I cannot go to upgrade..I must do it through the premier site. I guess there is no way, except maybe to email bing later and try to get them to add it.

You could but then you'll have to pay the early termination fee.

will it be on the premier site at 10PM as well. My contract is not up until Feb 2010 but when I go through Apple's site for the upgrade it still gives me a 199 price for 16GB iphone 3gs.

I bought an iPhone in December of 2007, so from what I've heard before, I'll need to wait at least until 21 months (or September 2009) for an upgrade.
Anyone know if you can just sign up for a new line, strip down my current plan to the bare minimum, and just keep 2 plans going? As is, I'd have to pay an extra $200 if I just upgrade. If I can get 35% Cash Back, pay maybe 40 a month for the plan for the next 6 months, I'll have 2 functional phones for 6 months at the same price.

Can you tell us where it states this in the terms? I upgraded to an iphone in January and received 25% CB. I did have to contact support to get my money though.

Your easiest option is to buy a $9.99 tracfone or boost mobile phone at WalMart and port your current number from gophone to tracfone. Then once it's outside the AT&T system (probably will take 1-2 weeks to completely purge), you can port it in during the sign-up process to a new monthly at&t account.
I have a new 16GB 3G in my cart...for $149. Yeah, it sucks....the min. 2-yrs plan is $69.99/month. (Any idea on how to cut this monthly charge down?) Also, there is a "one-time" activation fee $36 on the 1st month.
Maybe my bad luck but I got screwed on my Live CashBack when going through ATT store when I bought my refurb iPhone a few months ago. I had a friend with the exact same experience with ATT store. I am an old hand at this and did it all right, MS support claims I never clicked through which was BS I clicked through about 5 times before I actually bought and never directly went to the site except through live. I wrote MS support, they claimed I never used the link they then kicked me to a secondary level 2 tech who also lied and said I never clicked through. They told my friend the same thing. I never had a problem with eBay or any other store..
