Just now at 07-04-09 07:39a, I was able to get $77.52 CashBack (10.2%?) starting from bing, searching on memory card, clicking on the CashBack link, then searching on the t61u part number: T70-154112 I logged in to bing first and used IE and it worked fine. When I used opera web browser, it did not work for some reason. Still a great deal at under $700 net price. Good luck! |

I have my eye on this deal - I also just ordered a Lenovo Ideapad Y550 about 20 minutes ago. Through Lenovo.com/spp, after taxes, My total was $605.71. This is the Y550 with configuration 418644. Features: Intel® Core 2 Duo processor T6400 ( 2GHz 800MHz 2MB ) 15.6 " HD Wide LED 1366x768 320GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive 4GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1066MHz Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium Intel Integrated Graphics X4500 DVD Recordable (Dual Layer) 6 Cell Lithium-Ion Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Link 5100 This Thinkpad will run about $690 out the door, do you think it is worth considering? The Ideapad has a 1 yr warranty, Thinkpad 3 yrs Ideapad 4 GB, Thinkpad 1 GB RAM Ideapad has a lot more hard drive space Thinkpad has discrete graphics and 9 cell battery Ideapad has webcam - Thinkpad does not Thinkpad has a faster processor and a better screen. |

OP, looks like a great deal and i'm about to pull the trigger. But question on the warranty, did it show up as 3 years on the TigerDirect site before you all bought or was it a pleasant surprise? Because the site clearly says 12 months. This would be a deal breaker for me if its not 3 years. thx |

Warranty: Says 12 months on TigerDirect, but the serial number lookup on Lenovo indicates 3 years as does the specifications in the tabbook.pdf that shows all detailed specs for most all thinkpads. Another member indicated the same in this thread. |

Its a good deal, however not sure if it was a good deal for me ultimately. I like the more RAM, better hard drive, webcam and newer technology (N wireless, etc.) of the Ideapad. Anyone else go through the same considerations of Ideapad vs. Thinkpad (I know thinkpads are supposed to be built like a tank - didn't think i need it though). |

I've never had a problem hooking up to external monitors and I've done this with at least 3 different ones including a TV at 1920x1080. re WUXGA. I think the resolution with WUXGA on a 15.4" monitor is too high, but yes, I think you can install these. But then again, you can browse the outlet center at Lenovo and find one already configured. |

Three quick questions: 1) How do I get the free window 7 upgrade? 2) The warranty on TD is only one year. Should I purchase an extra warranty to get 3 years? 3) to check the availability of international warranty should I use 6457? Thanks Fabio EDIT: Ignore question 2 |
