Is it possible to apply for a Sear's card in-store and use it to purchase the combo? I'd have to order it in-store as well, so do you think they'd honor the online price? If not, I'll just use my netbook and order it online. Anyone have experience on using newly-applied for Sears cards for their purchases?

when u make a purchase, the sale associate always asks you to see if u want to apply for the Sears card. They always say you can take another 10% or so off in the first day.

You can apply in store and buy right away for sure. And yes, the $1999 combo for the tv and the blu ray home theater is in store as well, but you won't be able to get the TV alone for $1299 in store

Few Questions*
-discount offered from SS says expires July 2, 2009, if i order tomorrow will i still be able to order it doesnt say a specific time?
-Im planning to order both for pick up looks like the Tv will arrive sooner then SS (but weird it say no ship at this time but when you add both for pick up it says ship take longer then tv, if they call me to pick up tv , ill just pick it up and cancel there or should i wait?

-also do you think online cs will cancel my order?

-regarding the rebate if you dont have a Sears card do you still get the 10% inform of a prepaid card?

Why do you think that the TV won't get the 500 dollar deduction in store? If I ask for a gift receipt, would that help? Thanks for the help, Megaman, seems like a great deal!

The in-store receipt that prints out shows the reduction as a "combo". Gift receipt for the blu ray SS only might actually work. Just go to a different store or cancel it over the phone or something. Someone has to try it though.

Has anyone tried to use this price at Best Buy, +10% pricematch and then the BB credit card for 3 years no interest?

I might give that a run this afternoon.

Anyone considering keeping the SC-BT300? Gotten some decent reviews but I can't figure out how folks are connecting a cable/satellite box to the SC-BT300. Doesn't seem to have a HDMI input (only optical or av inputs). That also leaves out xbox/wii or other inputs one might want to add.

That is exactly why it is going back...

I just checked bestbuy.com and it doesn't seem like they carry the 54" G10. I've got a BB store within walking distance, so it would be definitely sweet if I could get a pricematch to the 1299 price. Could you keep us in the loop if you succeed weap? It would be greatly appreciated!

I will check my BB on my way home and report my findings. I too have heard that BB does not carry it.

Ordered the set. The SS is not in stock so I'll be picking up the TV today for the combo price. Great deal OP.

a couple of questions for the owners
1. how to avoid flickering problem?
2. any hacked vera cast firmware update for more features?

thanks

alert mods

they have a 54" at best buy but it is not the same model.

Wonder if it is just a rebadged G10?

^^
Most likely you saw the V10, which is a more aesthetic looking G10 with mild picture improvements (24p/96Hz) & an extra HDMI input.

sale is now over. tried to order this morning and prices back to normal. bummer.
