Maybe he has 2x2gb and 2x1gb sticks? There's four slots, so that would fit. It seems to me if you're not in a server environment, more than 4gb is a waste. |

Did anyone who bought between 6/26 - 6/30 submit their rebate for the motherboard? Any status updates yet? Since the web site has the incorrect model number for the rebate, I also contacted myrebates411. They emailed me back with "Use this one TA790GX… it will be OK." I guess there's no other option but to submit using that TA790GX model number then wait and see... |

Just an update on the rebate (for me). I sent mine in like 7/12 and just a few days ago the "transaction" finally went to approved, but for $10 instead of $20. I attempted to contact them via their web form in Google Chrome and didn't get any sort of confirmation email or anything. (In fact, you enter the Contact Request, then it sends you back to a login page, then after you login it sends you to a blank page- no error, no text, nothing). So, I tried again in IE a few days later. Received an email from "problems@myrebates411.com" saying: problems@myrebates411.com said:Hi , Thank you for contacting MyRebates411. In addition, I want to personally thank you for being respectful in your request. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. The amount will be corrected in the mailing. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. Regards, Customer Service Wednesday August 12, 2009 "I want to personally thank you for being respectful in your request." WTF? Anyways, I'll be happy when I receive the $20 check... |

Final update: Got my check the other day (ok maybe 2 weeks ago). Of course myrebates411.com screwed me with a $10 check. Went back to Newegg via chat and advised them it was wrong- CSR refunded the total rebate amount: $20- maybe she didn't read the entire paragraph I wrote explaining the problem. Newegg wins, and I learned a valuable lesson in dealing with rebates from myrebates411.com- don't do it. |
