timebecomes said: I grabbed one of these on Memorial day as well and am very happy with it. It looks great and has a built in HDTV receiver (maybe they all do now).I also did the same, the receiver and speakers are a little weak in quality, but if you are using just the inputs, it rocks for $300.
I got one for my nephew a few months back. TV seems good enough to me. Was watching some HD channels and I was impressed for the price. I wouldn't recommend it for a living room because of size and audio but fine for a bedroom
how does this compare to the 32" proscan for $329 at costco? i was originally going to get that one for my mom because of costco's return policy and extra year of warranty, but this deal looks good too.

yup. i bought one too...u will NOT find a better deal brand new....we only have it hooked up with the satellites coax cables and the pic still looks descent,..,.im sure with HDMI it would be great. buy one!!
anybody who bought this: says you need desktop tuner for cable HD? Is that accurate? No QAM listed. Hate to buy a $300 tv only to have to rent a box for $10/month.

Surely those viewing angles aren't correct? 150 and 160 makes it a lot worse than a 160/170 TN panel and way worse than the typical 178 HDTV.
This model isn't listed on the Dynex site, the one that is is the 09. It lists 176 degree viewing angles. Anyone confirm the 150 and 160 are typos?
Anyone confirm these angles, they are horrible but the reviews are good, I suspect a typo. I'd like to know, want to buy if the angles aren't 150 and 160.

LCD TV's viewing angle specs by all manufacturers are pretty much all bs according to latest tests. Those top of the line LCD TVs have viewing angle of 10 - 15 degree, which practically means only one person in the exact sweet spot of viewing angle can get the best color. clearanceman said: clearanceman said: sage224 said: Seems like a pretty decent HDTV for the price, choose instore pickup to cut out the shipping charges.

It's from BB; probably offering you a deal on satellite tv sub.
Anyone know the difference between this model (10A) and the (09) model that they were selling a few weeks ago for the same price?

so finally decided to pick this up today after not pulling the trigger when it was 300 near memorial day because some of the reviews. it simply came down to the fact that 285 when using discover card vs 330 for the costco proscan one meant spending $45 more (15% more). it's not like this is going to be used as a main tv so if it breaks down it breaks down, and i have a no name konka tv that's outlasted a panasonic. EXTENDED WARRANTY! HOW CAN I LOSE! the set looks good, sound quality wasn't an issue for a room that's 15' x 15'. i can't believe people are posting about 10 vs 20 degree viewing angle; seriously where are you trying to watch it from where this will make a difference? 720p is fine since it's not being connected to any b-ray or anything that will optimize 1080p. i didn't see a headphone jack but didn't look either. the one issue i do have at the moment is that the auto scan picked up some stations multiple times (ch 3 came up as 3 analog, 3.1 digital, 203 analog again) with some of the 2## equivalents having a better signal/picture than the lower channel counterparts. will work this out later but picture quality issue is not with the set so much as with the input source. overall, it's an inexpensive tv that works well for a small room. i suspect power users will continue to disagree.
edit: headphone jack confirmed
